It's a pretty solid movie, although it does get a bit slow. The gun fights are arguably the best part about it. The director, McQuarrie, had his brother choreographing the gun battles as he was a former SEAL.
Black Hawk Down....entire movie. Because it isn't hollywood. I have the honor of calling some of those men brothers, and they all attest that the movie is fairly close to reality (in terms of realism, not actual events). Based upon my experiences, it was pretty darn close as well. For once, hollywood didn't f*%k it all up.
Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart!
Holy Shit, I've never seen that full action scene with that horse movie. I've only seen the gif of him sliding the horse under the truck. That scene was insane. I like how the Jeeps could jump the cars, but the horses couldn't.

+1 for Heat. When I saw the title of the thread, that instantly came to mind.
Equilibrium had some rad gun/fight scenes in it too

Put everything behind the = into the brackets.
you get the white box if theres a space after what you copy in between the brackets.
you highlighting must be precise, grasshoppa.

booyah, just figured it out. thanks man!
but yeah, that movie had some good gun/fight scenes
Final ambush in Tears of the Sun isn't bad either (even though they were SquEALs). Their tactics were pretty sound (gettin on line and advancing to threat, austrailian peel, bounding overwatch, etc...) Can't find the right clip on youtube but watch the movie of you don't know what I'm talking about. At least there were no cheezy lines from Bruce Willis...

Cutting room floor. Because, Like me, he cant keep his damned mouth shut. :D
For gun battles, I liked Bruce Willis in Last Man Standing. It was a very expensive film to make and I liked the Ry Cooder music. It was my bible on shooting very fast with my 45 Kimber 1911 at the range, when ammo was still cheap to buy; even though Bruce used 22 LR blanks in the movie.

I had forgotton about Last Man Standing....finally, some love for the 1911!!!
This movie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaXbxHmmOds&feature=related) isn't released yet but from the previews I've seen, the tactics/techniques look fairly sound; only a little bit of hollywood interjected. Lead character played Shuggart in Black Hawk down.
Looks like Cops vs. Contractors vs. Gangs. time will tell I guess...

Alright, I give. What are you guys referring to. I'm sure it's obvious but I'm just not getting it. The wrong type of casing for that type of firearm maybe?
He's holding a gun that appears to have a magazine that would hold 9mm rounds, and when he runs by, a ton of .223 cases rain down from him.
from imdb:
When Neo is firing his two custom Skorpion SA Vz 61 submachine guns during the lobby shoot out, the shot showing the casing falling to the floor shows rifle casings, likely 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester), when the Skorpion fires much smaller .32 ACP pistol rounds.

Right on. Thanks. That's what I was thinking. I just didn't recognize the guns he was holding so I wasn't sure if that was it or not.
