You've all probably heard all day long, but Boulder is on fire again. I guess it is Boulder Canyon or something. We were just up there at the doctor and the doctor was saying that they were thinking of closing down town Boulder. I don't see why. Anyway, I took some cell phone pictures, but I'm too tired to post them.

Fire is just nature's method of renewal. How 'bout evacuating the couple dozen decent families, and letting nature take its course?

(KIDDING! mostly.....)

I laughed at the thought of having down town Boulder being closed for Halloween. Either 36 traffic jams or riots.

Yeah, the Daily Camera is providing updates pretty well. A couple fires near town -- think the Dome climbing area, Settlers Park -- have them evacuating. Power is/was out in part of town.

Let it burn....

Kidding... sort of.

I'd wager on dipshit drunk CU students playing with fire.

My thoughts go out to the Firefighters and any of good folk in harms way. On the other hand, maybe the d-bags will be to busy cleaning up and rebuilding, to vote, thus helping our chances.

According to scuttlebutt, it's going to turn out to be transient playing with bonfire. Boulder has been welcoming to the bum population -- hey, it's Boulder -- but this may turn some more attitudes around if the report says Bum Shenanigans.

Thanks for all the support and kind thoughts. [Roll1]

The real fun was all power was cut from Boulder to mid Gilpin County.

The fire looks/looked really close to town, but I didn't see any houses around it.

Oh and we need to find out who hasn't paid their taxes and/or fire fighting fees so those houses are not salvaged at the expense of others

I was thinking about this fire this morning.

Terry Barton(Hayman Fire) got away with(my opinion of her "sentence") setting the fire that caused the deaths of 6 people (5 firefighters and a citizen), around $40M damage, and 133 homes burned.

Her light sentence serves as an incentive to arsonists across Colorado, the state pretty much said, "go ahead and burn anything and even if someone dies, we'll just slap you on the wrist".

Terry Barton should have gotten the death penalty.

Yeah, I think I saw her selling an XD on here a few weeks ago.

On a serious note, how can someone who committed several accounts of aggravated arson already be out of jail? I'd understand if she was an illegal, but she isn't.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hayman_Fire

According to Wiki she got 15 years of probation after she was released in 2008. Swell, probation for a multiple murderer and arsonist.

Back to topic, it looks like the new Boulder fire is almost contained.
