Did she get voted out? Or just lose the Speaker position because the Dems lost the majority? I thought I'd heard the fools in CA voted to keep her. Either way, glad to hear the ugly bitch got knocked off her pedestal.

Blair and Gilmore were longtime prosecutors in the 8th Judicial District Attorney’s office when in 1999 they won a conviction against Tim Masters for the 1987 slaying of Peggy Hettrick in Fort Collins. Masters’ conviction was overturned due to newly discovered DNA evidence and he was released from prison in 2008, after serving the better part of a decade behind bars.
Blair and Gilmore were publicly censured in 2008 by the state’s attorney regulation office for failing to ensure that Masters’ defense attorneys received potentially helpful evidence from investigators, though they were not found to have intentionally hidden evidence. Masters sued the city of Fort Collins and Larimer County for wrongful imprisonment, settling this year for a combined $10 million.

Even though my vote was only succesful in a few areas, these were the best votes I ever made. I hope they end up working at MCd's.

I'm still having a hard time reconciling the fact the people of Colorado elected Bennett over Buck. That's pretty embarrassing. Colorado didn't follow the national trend, that's for sure. However, we did pick up two republican US House seats and the state house went republican. I guess that's a plus.
Still a solidly purple state. Our next target needs to be Udall in 2012. I hope the republicans can find someone vote-worthy to take him on.

I won't rejoice yet. I'll wait to see if they actually do what they say they will. Personally I don't trust any of 'em, regardless of party affiliation. Hopefully it's a change for the better though.

You have all got to read the book "The Blueprint: How the Democrats Won Colorado". There are 4 very rich dems in CO who have poured millions of dollars into lying, defamatory, offensive, negative advertising and targeted robo phone calls and mailings to defeat every Republican in the state. They are Rutt Bridges, Jared Polis, Tim McGill and Pat Strycker. They are the reason the Dems have been winning since 2006.Until the Repubs get as organized we can expect to continue to see the Dems win. Unless more people get as tired as I am of the negative campaigns and start to vote for those who refuse to participate. We see many surveys saying that the people are tired of negative advertising in politics but the bottom line is in Colorado it still works. Hickenlooper is the exception, he won because he didn't go negative, but he also didn't express any policies.
I say: Move over Nancy, and make room for Steny Hoyer of Maryland as minority leader of the House.
