lol, yup, I've done that. But that's the original "bf 1942". Some of those expansion packs were GREAT, like Road to Rome... But anyways, I was referring to the newer game just plain ol' "bf2".

Never tried any of the CoD games. The latest ones I've picked up: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIV, and Red Dead Redemption. But due to my slight addiction to World of Warcraft (yeah yeah...), i haven't played any of them much.

BF2 was good. I especially liked it if you downloaded and played the 'Forgotten Hope' Mod for it. Converted it all back to WWII. Like playing BF1942 all over again with better graphics.

I've been waiting since the day they announced it. I will be picking mine up promptly at midnight on monday, then glued to the xbox for the next 3 days!! I sure hope all the problems with MW2 are fixed. I got too tired of the damned hackers and stopped playing a few months ago.

Can't wait for it! Now to avoid the hacker, get a PS3.... I have the game on both platform, and there is way more hack on the 360 than the PS3.

Yes, I played tons of Desert Combat. The helicopters were incredibly maneuverable. Incredibly hard to fly, but once mastered allowed for some just silly stuff. Capture every flag on the map from a helo. Take out fighters with a helo. Loved it.

I can't wait. Plan on rushing thru the single player so I don't feel guilty jumping in feet first into the zombie action. I'm looking forward to playing as Richard Nixon.

I'm disappointed I didn't get it a week and a half early like I did MW2. Normally I skip they Treyarch versions of CoD but this one looks promising.

Got hooked on cod4 game was so cool when it came out I played that for like a year maybe more. Then WAW was pretty good, IDK why but I could not get into MW2 for some reason. I hope w/e it was in MW2 that I didn't like is fixed in black ops.

I think what turns me off of most of the games is the status aspect... all the little cartoon medals, "+100 points" dialouges, and 5 kill streak things that pop up, etc. It just detracts from the game for me...

Yes, there are stats and stuff in BF2 but it doesn't constantly pop up on the screen and make the game more arcadish everytime you kill someone.

But, to be fair and honest, I'll probably pick up the game in a few months after the initial "something new" phase wears off and we get some reliable reviews.
