a little more information would help in answering your question. for one are you wanting the standard grip like you have currently, but in a mid-length set up? or completely switching it out for a mid-length rail system?

if you are looking at doing the second you first need to find which rail you want and than find a low profile gas block that will fit under the rail system. which replaces your current A2 sight post.

Swithching from a standard plastic guard to a quad rail for accessories.

My current front sight has allen screws clamping it to the barrel with a round hand guard cap.

ok that helps understand what you want to do!

basically depending on which quad rail system you pick will depend on how it gets put on you will still need a low profile block to fit under which ever rail you get. in order for the gun to operate!

there is a bunch of people on here who could help you with your swap!

basically you take everything off swap out the gas blocks and depending what is required for the rail system for installation usually screws on with removing the delta ring or some can continue to use it with out removing it.
