Man, a great day for shootin’ in November, beautiful out…hot even. Had an opportunity to hit the Aurora Gun Club for the first time (nice), met some new folks in our party who passed along tips/advice which I appreciated (and needed) and just generally tossed a shit-load of lead down-range.

Took along my XD9SC, Beretta 92SB, 442 w/ new CTG’s (first time out for me and “a dot”), my 6920 and I got additional line time with a 92FS, G22, G27, LCR, and a Savage 7mm Mag. Missed my chance with a sweet Performance Center .45 wheelie though, I wasn’t thinking.

I’m too tired (lazy) to clean guns tonight but overall…a good day of shooting in CO. [AR15]

Lucky you, sounds like you had a great time. I would have loved to get out and shoot, and had planned on it, ended up having my folks up at the last minute. Dad and I ended up fondling guns at Tanner. Maybe next weekend i'll get to shoot.

Went out to WHAC today for the bowling pin match.... Way fun.... Got smoked by lots of people. But I didn't feel too bad because I think most of them have at least 10+ shooting years on me :) Everyone needs to come try it sometime.... Just word to the wise be int he same column as Carlos and Hannu....

Me and a buddy went to the Frontier fountain range and were the only ones there for hours!
Must have been near 80 at one point....
Great day for shooting!

Took the daughter and son out to CCGC today and had a blast (pun intended). My daughter shot her rifle for the first hour or so and then asked to try my old scoped Glenfield bolt .22....I didn't lay another hand on that gun until we cased it up and left. I'm almost afraid to let her get a hand on my scoped 10/22!

I built an enclosure to hold firewood on my porch. I took the time to plan it out and stuff. Let's just say that it didn't exactly come out as square as I would have liked. Next time I'll use 2x4 instead of 2x2 since those split too easy. It was a bit of a disaster. heh.

Well, at least it was a learning experience!

My favorite part was hammering in the dark in the middle of the apartment complex with a flashlight in my mouth and a hammer built for a three year old. I felt like an a-hole at first, until I remembered that it was only 6 pm and half the people probably weren't even home from work yet anyway. I still felt like kind of a jerk.

I went for a hike today and got snowed on, chased by lightning and blown around. [Eek3] It was sunny when I got home.:rolleyes:

Awesome weather there ! I am even more redneck now... Burned my neck, face and some other body parts too.

You should definitely not feel bad when you had fun time :) Everyone has started their shooting career some day, you should never forget you were beginner earlier. If you do forget it, it will have a big negative effect to your development as a shooter.

More than just time, I think it is up to shooters attitude : you can become a real badass in couple of years if you want ;)

Yeah, but working for you is sitting on your butt playing with switches and levers and knobs and talking on the radio.
