View Full Version : Just got back...
...from a few year stint in NJ. Gun laws there suck. You can't have an AR, but you can have an M&P. 10 round clips max. No flash suppressors. Collapsible stocks are pinned so they can't be collapsed or extended. No bayonet lugs. Blah. Glad to be back.
I was a member of a gun club in NJ. Prices there are horrible, but we did have 25, 50, 100 and 300 outdoor ranges with covered shooting areas and covered kickers. Nothing like shooting in the mountains around here, though.
Anyways, here's a couple of pics of my guy. I'll need to replace the stock as it is pinned as described above. I also need to load up on 30-rounders and get a strap.
I've already picked up a bunch from these forums. I'm heading to a place to shoot this afternoon with a buddy that we found from this site.
Look to continue following along.

Thanks for all the welcomes.
A buddy and I went to a shooting site I found on here up on hwy 7 just off the peak to peak highway. It was closed!!
Luckily we took the scenic route up through Jamestown and found a nice little shooting area there. People were throwing clays and my buddy and I brought our .223's and handguns. It wasn't marked, but there were 3-5 cars parked there. It was very low key, etc.
Bastards that left before us didn't take their targets, though. How can people willingly leave crap in these beautiful hills?
Ok, I'm off my soapbox.
BTW - Can I just drill the pin out of my pseudo collapsible stock or am I best off taking it to a gunsmith? I'd like to keep the stock for now if at all possible.
Thanks,
Matt

First off, welcome to the site and welcome back to your Second Amendment Rights via Colorado.
Bastards that left before us didn't take their targets, though. How can people willingly leave crap in these beautiful hills?
This is a question that most of us on the site ask constantly. I don't have an answer for you. We run a constant battle at organized and non-organized shooting sites around the state with folks leaving anything from minor garbage to shot up major appliances. It is the belief of many of us that this is a significant contributor to many areas getting closed to shooting. Some folks just don't get it.
ah enjoy your freedom!
joisy sux!! ny is gettin to be just as bad![Rant1]
