Ben Haskew, 36, of Berthoud was shot and killed early Tuesday morning after opening fire on a Larimer County Sheriff's Office SWAT team, according to a report from the Larimer County coroner.

"SWAT negotiators were talking with the man when he came out of the home and opened fire, according to the news release."

wtf was this guy thinking? You got a half dozen trained personnel out there - if you go out and start shooting it's only going to end one way.
Awful sad way to go.

why do you want to blame the cops again?

when did we start blaming the police for every dipshit that get himself shot?

the cops should get the benefit of the doubt, whenever there is a shooting there will be an internal investigation, the cops should be given the nod until proven otherwise.

point a gun at the police and you will most likely die. this guy knew what was going to happen when he stepped out the door.

huh? no one is blaming the cops. theyre just saying the guy probably knew he was going to die, didn't have the stomach to pull the trigger himself so he shoots at the cops knowing they will shoot back and probably kill him. ie, SUICIDE by cop
