[Rant1]I don't understand why the media gives this kind of publicity to those assholes. They are not snipers!! They are just some random shooters.

Because the media is not about using accurate terms, they want inflammatory terms that increase ratings!
but you're 100% correct, this person(s) is not a sniper...

I can see it now:
Tonight on MSNBC:
"Tea Party member, honorably discharged veteran, gun owner and conservative arrested for Pentagon sniping incident."
Isn't that the way the memo from Missouri described "Domestic Terrorists"?
What is the point of shooting a round or two at a building?
My guess would be a disgruntled Marine that was discharged under less than honorable circumstances, or feels like he's being treated unfairly by the system following his service. He seems to be taking pains to make sure that no people are hit, and the targets are not random, they are definitely related to the Corps.
That's so weird though. What a baby thing to do. Grow a fucking pair and move on with life you know?

A "sniper with an evil assault rifle" sells more ads then "an idiot with a gun".
BigBear,
You should be getting a knock on the door very soon. [Peep]

...the targets are not random, they are definitely related to the Corps.
"There have been five incidents, beginning with shots fired on the Pentagon on the night of Oct. 16-17. Over the next two weeks, shots were also fired on the Marine Corps museum near Quantico and recruiting offices of the Marine Corps and Coast Guard, respectively, in suburban Virginia."
He did shoot at the Coast Guard recruting office...

Aren't they the civilian arm of the Corps? [LOL]
I'm still going with disgruntled vet or someone that was denied entry into the military.....
I think you meant Navy. And yes, I know the Marines and Navy are under the same Secretary.

Solution:
Both!
WIN!
from the article
No casualties have been reported, and authorities believe the person or persons responsible have deliberately fired at night to minimize the chance that anyone would be hurt. The same weapon was used in every attack, the FBI said.
uh yeah...bullets are much less dangerous at night. the moon doesn't allow them to turn into raging fireballs that explode on contact like the sun does.
If anything firing at night gives a better chance of someone getting hurt because you can't seem them.
information like this really makes me question these people.
and the guy isn't a sniper. snipers are highly trained shooters that rarely miss. this moron wants attention and should be countersniped.

I think they were trying to say that there are less people around at night, ergo, less chance of accidentally hitting someone. If there's nobody there, nobody gets hit....

You are a great and wise man..

The "Pentagon Sniper" is sniper enough for me and I will treat the dude as such. I perceive the sniper as disgruntled, confused and scared. His psyche could prove for him to progress to shooting people, especially if people deny him the honored title of "Sniper." He is a rogue that has to surrender or be put down with deadly force. I live in Maryland, where they caught the D.C. Snipers [Lee Malvo and John Mohammed],and I helped rebuild the rest area where the Swat team captured them. I was scared then, and I wanted to kill the people that were involved with that shooting spree. But I was frustrated that I could not carry concealed because Maryland has a very tough right to carry law.
