http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy).

Originally a radio comedy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hitchhiker%27s_Guide_to_the_Galaxy_%28radio_se ries%29) broadcast on BBC Radio 4 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_Radio_4) in 1978,I remember sitting up late at night with my transistor radio listening to it.
(we got BBC in Germany where I grew up)

Man, I want a line to prove that I got the reference, but I don't know any more lines. I bet there was a whole list of lines posted in the basement of some government building.

Yeah, but I caught it the first time. I'm okay with no points though. I only saw the movie.

I've only seen a few Monty Python's and the first episode of Fawlty Towers.

I've never enjoyed Fawlty Towers. Love Python movies and old Python radio stuff and was told I should also like Black Adder stuff - hated it!
