Need some Prayer help

Ive meet some of you guys and havent had the pleasure of meeting the rest yet, I need some help for my family this christmas. Im not very religous but my 3 year old daughter is going to have surgery on 12/15/10 on her kidney.
long story short its swelling and not draining properly into her bladder. Although its not a big surgery any surgery for a toddler is big and scary as hell for her mom and myself.
my daughter is all i have and i just want (HIM) to know that i cant see being without her. Her name is Alyssa and she is my world. So if any of you guys can just pray for a good outcome it would mean the world to the three of us for christmas.

You don't have to be religious, you just have to believe to pray and ask for help. He knows what's in your heart. Have faith and don't give up hope.

My daughter spent her first 5 weeks in the NICU after she was born, and my (at the time 7 week old) son spent some time in Children's right after I deployed for OIF. Nothing gets your absolute, undivided attention the way something like this can. If there's anything I can do, please let me know.

Slightly off topic, there's a superb book about how and why prayer works (it does) called Satan and the Problem of Evil. If you're logically minded and like to see things explained in ways that make perfect sense, this is the book for you. It's long and scholarly, not a light read, but excellent. Having read it, I now pray with confidence that prayer matters and actually affects something.

Count me in on the play date when she's all healed up. Mine is 2 1/2.

I also know what you're going through- Our 6 year old (now 7) daughter needed a heart "procedure" to close her PDA valve... they did this similar to Angioplasty, where them come in through the femoral artery.
There was lots of prayer on her & that event- all turned out better than we could have imagined.

My stress level is so high right now, My baby girl goes in tomorrow for her surgery, ill post from the hospital in the afternoon and after she gets out. its a 2 hr procedure. wish my lil angel luck guys. thanks talk to you guys tomorrow

yea shes a trooper, she goes under at 2:30pm then we stay for a day or two depending on how well she does. thanks again for the help last night travis, my internet and wifi are working great

our daughter that had the heart procedure was a real trooper, too... first clue she was worried was that it took more than an adult dose of 2 different meds to put her under, she was fighting it so hard. thanks guys, we just got home from the hospital. They cancelled her surgery today due to her vomiting all day and having a pain in her groing area. they are wanting us to keep an eye out to make sure its not apendacitis now. im taking it as a sign from God that the surgery was to be postponed, our stress is also postponed. we will find out tomorrow when they want to reschedule it after the holiday. Thank every one of you for your prayer and thoughts. Now im going to getr some much needed sleep.

so she is doing great. she up and walking . Im trying to slow her down so she doesnt hurt herself. She will go under the knife again in 6 weeks to remove the stent that was placed in.

yea we havent said anything yet, but she is scared to fall asleep now, when she fell asleep at the hospital she woke up with a booboo she calles it.
