If you're talking about "Sarah Palins Alaska" show, I would say she's bringing attention to herself and her family because of the libtard who is living next door to her writing his little book. So, if someone is going to write a book about you, you might as well put your "real" life in the eyes of public so that written lies will remain that!!

You worry about what some idiot is going to write about, so you counter attack with a B.S. show that doesn't provide any substance. Great material for someone thinking about running for president. She threw away the one respectible thing about her (being governor) for the money and is now trying to cash in for as much as she can get as fast as she can get. Doesn't inspire me. The whole family is WT.

I do not like her, I do not want her anywhere near a political arena running for an important office. She simply does not have the IQ, the skills, the abilities to run for the high office. If the R's put her up for the high office, I shudder to think about another 4 years of Obama's control and the mentality of the R's.

I know it was meant in jest, but I would not want a CiC/POTUS who couldn't dress him/herself and flips off a camera at will.

I think the office is more deserving of a respectable demeanor than that. I personally would LOVE to see a career military man gain the office.... but that will probably never happen.

You are right about reality shows and if you were serious about making a run for a respected office and want to be taken seriously, you wouldn't be anywhere near a "reality show".

The argument for her is not really much different than the argument for/against Dan Maes. Someone who ran a small entity (or government) who wants to run something much, much larger, more complex, more diverse and has so many more working parts than their little business and just doesn't have the abilities to do so. Even running the state government of Alaska isn't that complex, given the TOTAL population of that state is 698,473 (2009 estimate).

Obviously, we are going to disagree on this issue. You think she is presidential potential and I think she is WT and needs to disappear back into the woods of Alaska with her millions of dollars and be forgotten.

Powell's wife has a mild phsycological disorder, and the stress of it all would not be good for her. He won't run because of that. Quite frankly, I think he would make an amazing POTUS, but I can't fault him for his decision.

They might as well have achieved that result by counting "McCain/Palin" and "Obama/Biden" bumper stickers.

That poll is flawed. There are five answers:

1) Very conservative
2) Conservative
3) Moderate
4) Liberal
5) Very Liberal

The percentages are based on how many said "very conservative or conservative", who said "moderate", and who said "liberal or very liberal". Seriously? That makes zero sense to me.

And that is beside the fact that 8000 poled is supposed to somehow reprisent ~300 million Americans is bananas.

Also, "Party breakdowns for 2010 are based on 2,395 Republicans, 3,134 independents, and 2,565 Democrats." There you go. The silent majority.

Just my opinion, but I don't expect to see Sarah Palin run for anything. She and her husband have figured out that her good looks and her popularity can make them very rich in a very short time, so they're cashing in while the cashing in is good. That's why she quit the governor's job, she's making HUGE money doing books, speeches, TV shows, etc. She knows she hasn't got a chance to win the Presidency, but as long as people think she may run, the money will keep rolling in. By the time the cash train stops, several generations of their whole family will be set for life and they can slip away into obscurity. Good-looking and smart. Again, JMHO.

I Agree 100%.
Witty rhetoric and catchy campaign slogans are not going to fix this country.

a Few Ideas

1) CLOSE and ENFORCE The borders
2) Increase Trade Tariffs
3) Decrease "Foreign Aide"
4) Separate The Branches of Government.
5) Tie Congressional Pay to a formula involving GDP, Unemployment and performance. Make this a citizen vote based on Performance, NOT Campaigning.
6) Remove all "Mud Slinging" campaign Tactics
7) Cap campaign expenditures and Donations

Just a few Ideas. I know they will never be implemented, But I can dream.

Ditto, or tell us what they "really" plan on doing since they say whatever they can to get into office and then do what they really want (including backtracking on campaign promises) when they are in there.
