I saw her in the big picture of all the freshmen Congressmen with a goofy hat sitting way up high on her head. I thought it was a joke or something...guess not.

She's older than I. I was raised to take a hat off when entering a house, for several reasons.

1. It's outdoor appearal and doesn't need to be worn inside
Exception: (Can be argued fashion for women.. but I think it's stupid)
2. Sign of respect for the homeowner
3. Tradition from the 18th century time of gentlemen ettiqute and top hats

I think the bigger question is why does she feel that she HAS to wear the hat in doors. It is of no consequence to her ability to do her job if she's wearing a hat or not. This type of crap should be thrown out of the house and she should be disbarred (or whatever the apprpiate term is) for wasting tax payer time and money.... grrr.

I think that her bringing this up as her first act as a congress person is a testament to her ability. What a moron.[Rant1]

All the intelligence of a small soap dish........

How many times do we go over the "they just don't get it" and yet here we are. Her most pressing issue is her hat? Me, me, me. She represents 80,000 people and is damn near 70 years old but the rest of the US has to change for her?

she should have considered that before she ran for office.

it's like back in 91, there were a few folks that were pissed off about iraq.

"when I signed up for the GI bill, I didn't think I'd actually have to go fight!"

"I think she should wear a rubber dick on her nose to cover up those gaping nostrils. They look like a pair of armadillo holes in a pasture."
I like this comment some one left [ROFL1] But if thats the most important thing she is concerned with she needs to hit the bricks.

maybe the hat is the source of her powers [ROFL1] it makes her super annoying

or maybe its a sorting hat like they had in the first Harry Potter. Dems on the left and gops on the right.

the hat talks to her, maybe it gets pissed if it is left hanging on a rack

I think all of our U.S. lawmakers should be forced to wear flying saucer hats. Thats when, their will be some real fighting going on in Congress.
