PHOENIX -- A passenger aboard a Southwest Airlines flight found a fully loaded ammunition clip from a police officer's service revolver during a flight from Burbank, Calif., to Phoenix.
Southwest Airlines spokesman Paul Flaningan says that after the passenger found the clip in flight Tuesday, he handed it over to the flight crew.
The plane landed safely in Phoenix and passengers on Flight 1297 were taken off and rescreened. The plane was also searched and no other weapons were found.
The passenger was met by TSA and Phoenix police at Sky Harbor International Airport and questioned.
Flaningan says the clip apparently was dropped accidentally by a licensed law enforcement officer who declared he had the clip. The law enforcement officer was on a previous flight.
It's not clear how long the ammunition clip was on the plane or the caliber.

so it was a speed strip or something? my revolvers dont take clips, or magazines. unless this reporter means one of the quick clips that you use instead of a holster. clipdraw.

I like how they KNOW it was from an LEO that declared it, but they dont know how long it was on the plane! Should have fondled more passengers I guess?

There is the chance that this report actually used "clip" correctly in this instance if it was a moon clip for a "service revolver" as stated.
May be the first time "clip" was used correctly.

THE
FUCK?
how can we expect the facts to be reported when the idiots reporting them have no clue what the facts are?
I am honestly surprised they didn't use the term "Assault Weapon"

PHOENIX -- A passenger aboard a Southwest Airlines flight found a fully loaded ammunition clip from a police officer's service ASSAULT revolver (believed to have been purchased in the US through the gun show loop hole, was to later have been taken to MX to be used by the cartels.) during a flight from Burbank, Calif., to Phoenix.

a speed loader would be considered a 'clip' and would be congruent with the description of 'service revolver'

You're right. I read a non-AP article and it was, in fact, a mag for a semi-auto pistol.
I was rather concerned that an officer somewhere is still using a revolver...
Probably an early Native American bone revolver that can slip through metal detectors.

This is the real un-edited version from AP:
PHOENIX -- A passenger aboard a Southwest Airlines flight found a fully loaded ammunition clip from a police officer's service ASSAULT revolver (believed to have been purchased in the US through the gun show loop hole, was to later have been taken to MX to be used by the cartels.) during a flight from Burbank, Calif., to Phoenix.
Southwest Airlines spokesman Paul Flaningan(An Obama Supporter) says that after the passenger found the clip in flight Tuesday, he handed it over to the flight crew.
The plane landed safely in Phoenix and passengers on Flight 1297 were taken off, rescreened and had there 2nd Amendment rights threatened. The plane was also searched and no other weapons, shampoo, nail clippers or Cranberry sauce were found.
The passenger was met by TSA and Phoenix police at Sky Harbor International Airport and questioned.
Flaningan says the clip apparently was dropped accidentally by a licensed law enforcement officer who declared he had the clip. The LEO stated “I have a CLIP” and then boarded the plane. The law enforcement officer was on a previous flight. Apparently this was a possible failed hi-jacking attempt thwarted by the TSA.
It's not clear how long the ammunition clip was on the plane or the caliber because most of the staff are ignorant to anything that has to do with firearms.
Just kidding, probably more real then lead to believe.

I was also going to suggest the moon clip. I have never used one but have seen them used by "Old School" LEO's. I have never carried a revolver.
