View Full Version : Car shop recomendations
I've lived here for several years but haven't needed to get new tires/ bodywork on cars so here is what I need.
I need to get new tires for my 2008 4wd F-150. I put 20-30k a year on the truck, and would like something that is durable but handles snow/ bad weather well.
My wife has a small dent on the back quarter panel of her rav-4. It will need to be fixed and repainted.
I live in Littleton. I don't have to go to the same place for both vehicles. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hard to get a better deal then discount tire. pick any location, they all treat me right. dont be afraid to wheel and deal with them, they will usually work with you on their already unbeatable prices and great service anytime.
sorry no idea on a body shop.
As far as tires, I would recommend the Michelin LTX AT2 tires. They ride very nice and handle all weather very well. A little on the pricey side but well worth the cost. And body shops are a difficult choice. Depends where you live.

Consumer reports rates the Michelin, followed by the Yokohama Geolander #2. I had the Michelin LTX on my Super Duty last go around with no complaints, but Big O had the Geolander at about 2/3rds the cost this go around. I recommend either tire.
I haven't owned vehicles long enough to replace the tires on them, but I did buy an aftermarket set for my 03 silverado when I had that truck.
went through Big-O. they matched the price, gave me a great deal in my opinion and I walked away a satisfied customer.
on their brand tires they offer an unbeatable warranty.

I get all of my maintenance done at Keller Brothers, 250 Dry Creek Rd. Littleton. Great shop. Locally owned. They replaced my tires, have done all of my services, brakes, installed an E-Brake, and replaced shocks on my Escalade. I just turned 101,000 miles. I drive about 20k miles a year.

I go to Firestone at S. Holly St and E. County Line Road. They have been very fair to me and my wife in dealing with our vehicles.
I personally have had some bad experiences at Keller Bros. I had an Isuzu Rodeo that was making a weird noise and I took it there. I had three of their mechanics look at it and they came to the conclusion that my engine block was cracked and I needed a new engine. They tried to sell me a new engine and then searched for a used engine to replace mine. I had my doubts and went to another store, where it was diagnosed as a worn timing belt. A new timing belt later, I had no problems with that vehicle.

I have been taking my car to Keller Brothers them for a year and have had no problem. My neighbor swears by a small shop up the street. I took my Pathfinder there, and they screwed it up so bad that Nissan had to fix it. He loved the place and I curse them.
Keller Brothers has been good to me. I am sorry to hear about yout bad experience there. I am glad that you were ablt to get your car fixed without replacing the engine.

Performance Wheel & Tire on Santa Fe/Oxford has always given me great customer service and good prices. FYI- they will repair any flat for FREE, no matter where you bought your tires!!! Can't beat that in my book! Obviously, this is only on tires that are repairable. [Tooth]
Can't help you on a body shop.
If you need any repair on your Ford (or anything for that matter), call Chris Weed w/ Factory Trained Auto Repair 303 650 2257. He is one of the best damn mechanics in the state. His specialty is Ford diesels but is great with everything. Prices are great to begin with, and he will give you discounts/cash for referrals! He also gives FREE diagnostics on any Ford diesels!
