At "Toast" right now, have a chicken fried steak and eggs on its way! First time here, so far it's a real neat place, with great coffee!

Has anyone tried "MC's Brooklyn pizzeria" off of Bowles and Wads(ish) in Littleton? A co worker of mine who is well traveled (read has eaten good pizza), gives it rave reviews.

I've seen a few sushi posts but by far the best sushi in the state is at Sushi Den and a close second is Sushi Sasa.

A few pizza joints in the new hood worth adding (*disclaimer* apparently I've never had real pizza because I've never been to New York, so take it for what it's worth).

MC's Brooklyn Pizzeria on Bowls, just before Wad's. Really good pizza, and the calzone I sampled was awesome!

Mike's famous Pizza on Quincy and Lowell. Pizza is awesome, and they make a 20" which I don't see many people doing anymore. Prices are great.

Walter's Pizzeria on Belleview and Lowell (a member here suggested them when I first moved to this area). We tried their deep dish because we rarely go deep (lol), and it was awesome. Will try their standard hand tossed next time we go, I expect it to be good because that place was super busy for a Thursday night, and is always packed when I drive by.

Got a deep dish pizza from Walter's tonight. Was coming out of the oven just as I got there, but apparently someone new in the kitchen put on way too much sauce, so they had to make it again. It was worth the wait... best deep dish I've had, better than the one I had in chicago based on a chicago native's recommendation.

It's a little bit of a drive for me, but it's worth it.

Glad to hear. I've never had a Chicago deep dish so I didn't have much to compare it to, it was certainly one of, if not the best deep dish I've had.

+1 for that place. Easy on the wallet and there is no way you're walking out of that place hungry. I had a chicken burger there that ended up being 8 potatoes cut to fries and 3/4 a chicken on a giant bun, for 9 bucks. Tasty too.

Finally made it back to Walter's and tried their hand tossed, did the meat lover's and was impressed. Reminded me why I rarely do pepperoni tho, just a bit too greasy for my taste (but that's with just about any pizza with pepperoni imo). We got there at about 5pm and there was only one other party, within about 30 minutes the place completely filled up, and I lost track of the number of people walking in for carry out orders.

I was doing a project in Midland, TX, years ago.
I asked the company contact, Miss Lucy, where the best place to eat was.
She replied, "Miss Lucy's back yard."
She turned out to be an accomplished cook for outdoor grilling.
So, I took it to heart, and now tell people the best place to go is "Dave's back yard"

Was up in Broomfield yesterday evening to pick up some boots from Jason303... I usually stick to the south side of denver, so looked up restaurants in Broomfield on yelp, and found The Burns Pub and Restaurant.

Very good english/irish pub fare, and a huge selection of whiskeys.

Started with Irish Poutine (was fries and gravy with really chunks of corned beef mixed in),

My wife had the Shepard's Pie, I had the rueben (with more of the house made / aged corned beef). We both took home about 1/2 of our meal.

Also had Irish cream creme brulee, and some sticky toffee pudding (apparently a common english thing).

Everything we had was great. We ended up there pretty close to peak dinner time, and didn't have a wait.

Best Italian I've had in CO is at Undici.

A little pricier than Olive Garden, but man alive it's amazing.

ETA: Looking at their menu again, it's actually about on par with Olive Garden for similar items. But they're soooo much better.

Only negative thing I have to say about Smokin' Daves BBQ in Lyons is that my cornbread was cold and even at that it still tasted good. Everything else was hot and steaming.

I had the three meat platter (your choices) and shared with a friend.

Roasted BBQ Chicken - excellent flavor, juicy, tender and fell right off the bone.

St. Louis style ribs - great flavor, sauces, smoked to perfection, juicy, tender and fell right off the bone.

The Brisket - was amazing. By far the best I've ever had, juicy, tender and full of flavors that left you wanting more.

Baked beans were excellent!

Potato salad was good, could have been a smidge sweeter.

By far one of the best bbq joints I have found in Colorado. I will definitely be returning for more!

Friend were in town and we went to Forest Room Five in Denver. It was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I'm pretty laid back and don't really complain about stuff, so this is significant. I even signed up to Yelp to make a short review. Terrible service, we didn't even get half of our order. I read some other Yelp reviews and it seems to be stupid people giving 5 stars, and normal people giving one star. The hipster crowd was infuriating, but comes with the area so it was to be expected. A lot of the Yelp reviews complain that the staff all seem stoned. Usually, people blaming every bad experience on recently legalized weed bothers me, but that certainly seemed to be the case with our experience. I give this place 100 thumbs down. Do not go there. One of the five star reviews even claimed "Lots to explore, best done under the influence of something." Really? If I have to be under the influence to enjoy a restaurant, it's not good. Don't go.

I love the corned beef at the Bagel but prefer the pastrami at the NY Deli-met a friend there for lunch today, it was great on the Kaiser roll with spicy mustard, yum. Heading out for a mc ride on Wednesday probably to Breckenridge for lunch, if so I'll get the philly cheesesteak sandwich at Empire Burger, they get their bread flown in from Philly, oh yeah.

I still remember the old commercial for YooHoo with Yogi Berra; "I'm me-hee for YooHoo" lol.

Pizza Ranch:

Never been to the Pueblo store (didn't know they were that far south ), or any in Nebraska, but we usually hit it at least once each year in Sturgis.

It's close to where we stay, and it's a good option for buffet, or a broasted chicken fix.

And it doesn't seem like they raise their prices during the rally. That's a plus.

Meh, to each their own, I grew up looking forward to CiCi's when we went to visit family in Texas (before they came to CO). Some of us don't require the finest New York style pizza in order to be happy.

We had a CiCi's here in Fort Collins and I felt it was okay. Not amazing but for the price it wasn't bad.

We have a Pizza Ranch in Loveland now that's been around for years. When it first opened the pizza was as good or better than CiCi's and the chicken was dynamite. The sides were tasty and the price was fair. I liked that it was like CiCi's (which had closed down) but slightly better for slightly more money. Since it opened that place has really gone downhill. The pizza has gotten worse and worse and the prices keep going up. We gave up on it years ago but about once every year or so we forget how bad it is and make the mistake of going again. This occurred again just a few weeks ago in fact. Going in less frequently also allows us to see how far it has gone downhill versus when you go regularly and slowly adjust to the bar being lowered. This time the pizza was meh, the chicken was terrible and the sides were also trash. The prices were higher than ever (I think we paid nearly $30 for two people for crap food... but boy there was a lot of it if we could stomach it!) and the service was the worst it's ever been. They took the ice cream toppings away, I imagine because someone's jackass kids were horsing around time after time with them. The chicken was tiny little crappy pieces that was WAY overcooked and dry when before it was juicy and tender. The pizza options were picked over and not good. When I requested something I was told "sure" and it never came out. In the past at least they got the requests right. I don't know man, this place has been a real let-down and I imagine that's why it's nowhere near as full as it was after it opened when we used to go. It'll be at least another year before we make that mistake and I honestly don't know why anyone would eat there. I took a look around at the clientele while we were there and I guess I just no longer fit that demographic which is something to be proud of IMO. These days I prefer quality to quantity and it shows in my waste line & workouts. That doesn't mean I always eat perfectly but this place is just a pit of despair and the fact that you can eat as much of it as you want is the only draw. For the same price I can go 5min away and get all the Nordy's I want which is real, honest to goodness actual meat if what I want is all I can eat.

Found a new place, Rock Bottom Brewery. The one I've gone to is in Highlands Ranch just off Lucent.

Menu isn't large, but they seem to do everything on it very well. And they only serve their own brewery beers.

On their entrees, I've had their Jambalaya several times, it's excellent. Others in my party have had the 10oz sirloin, the bison burger, and the bacon mac and cheese, and everything was goood.

They've got some great appetizers as well, we've had the Jalape?o Pretzel Stix, and the Bacon Jalapeno poppers, both were great. They have a bunch of locations around denver, and one in the springs as well.
