Made 2 recent purchases from Calssportingarmory.com. First item ($400.00) shipped 2 days beyond their stated shipping policy. No biggie. The next day I placed another order. We got beyond thesexpected ship date so I called and e-mailed asking for an expected ship date. No Answer.
Well this kind of ticked me off and the guys at Rocky Mountain Gun hooked me up in a big wat (thanks again!) so I cancelled my order with Cal's. Today I try to go to the Cal's website and it appears as though the site no longer exists. Wow. I cant get the tracking number for my new scope. Long story short, they have blocked my IP, so I disable the WiFi on my I Phone ang get to the site. I log in and they have eliminated my user/password.
So. Cal's has left me without a tracking # for my merchandise and blocked access to my account containing transaction details.
Beware...........

I was just about to say there is a whole thread about this place being a piece of shit.
It has been posted numerous times on numerous sites....avoid Cals Sporting Armory! With a passion.
They have no business sense, are rude, and frankly don't want your and my business. If they did, they would treat us like they wanted our business.
Exactly how hard is it to provide good customer service anyway? You know, as a multiple business owner, I can tell you that customers would rather hear you say "I screwed up and this is what I'm going to do for you" than to be ignored. I've messed up and I keep my clients. Twits.

Just read through the thread posted above about this place.
Seems like this guy and his store have been bad news for a very long time. It's a wonder that he is still in business, but as the other thread said, it must be the LEO community keeping him in business.
Good place to avoid.
Thanks for a reminder on this place and a reminder to always do your homework before buying from a place [using a credit card is always a good idea too in case you need to get your money back for a bad deal.].

I don't have the stomach to say what I really think about Cal's, because my blood pressure will sky rocket and I'll start twitching uncontrollably...
I have zero respect for that lying, cheating, sleazy, incompetent asshole that runs that place. I'm pretty sure Cal's is just a one-man shop at this point, ever since he left his store on S Federal Blvd., then Englewood, and has now run off to the mountains somewhere.
I was ripped-off by him a couple years back, but I only had myself to blame, because every review I had read of him basically said to STAY AWAY! I ignored the warnings and figured, like always, that my experience won't be like everyone else's. Go figure, I was wrong. And the second you try to contact him to get the problem resolved, POOF, he's disappeared and nowhere to be found.
From the research I've done on Cal's, all I can figure is that they are just a 3rd party intermediary for RSR Group. You place an order on the Cal's site, and it is just drop-shipped from the RSR distribution center in Texas. But not before Cal's throws in a retardedly-exorbitant shipping charge, as well as tax for Colorado residents. From what I can tell, Cal's role in any transaction is simply to pass along the order info to RSR Group, and then sit back and reap the profits. And blatantly lie to customers when asked a question.
"Buyer Beware" is an understatement. Avoid that asshole and his bullshit business like the plague. Good luck getting your situation resolved!

Seems as though Cal's is reaching Joken's legendary statue symbol in the firearms community. Still baffles me to know that both are still in business. Guess they both are like getting sprayed by a skunk, the stench lingers for a long time!
If you have ever been in the actual shop, it is pretty clear the guy is an absolute asshole.

I'm not defending his attitude.
I've spent about $4500 at his store on S Federal.
Got to know him quite well.
His attitude comes from being robbed 3xs at gunpoint.
I was going to his store BEFORE the double door and being buzzed in.
IF you knew what you wanted,he was more then amiable.
He did have the lowest prices around, better then that other azzhat "D"s.
Never dealt with them and never will! Thanks for the heads up

Holy shit! If what you really wanted to say was better than that, I really wanna hear it!

Didn't someone come on here and defend this place a few weeks ago?

I ordered a scope and mount for one of my ARs last week. The price was the best around and everything shipped quick. After I got everything I decided that I wanted a different mount and notified them on Thanksgiving morning. By the afternoon the same day I had my RMA number and Friday I shipped the item back. On monday I had my credit.
My only complaint about the transaction was the weird extra handling charge and the restocking fee. I only got back about 80% of the price of the mount but it was a good transaction. I might buy from them again, but I need to be totally sure I'm getting the item that I really want. Otherwise it's better to go with Borwnell's or Midway to have the reassurance of their outstanding return policy.
