Glock I see you have an Ultra CDP Elite II, I also have A Kimber mine is marked Ultra CDP Elite STS II, also from the custom shop. I was wondering if you knew what the Elite II or the Elite STS II markings indicate, I cannot find any references for these in the Kimber catalog or online. Mine also has a real low serial also, any info would be appreciated.
Regardless they are excellent shooters and great personal defense weapons. :)

Hi, my knowledge is pretty limited, but I understand that the series II involved the next generation changes including a firing pin brake. Also I believe they all are special editions from the Kimber Custom Shop. There weren't very many of them made (Only 600 of the Ultra CDP Elite II and 650 of the Ultra CDP Elite STS II). Both were produced in 2002. I saw something about a new STS barrel, don't know what that means tho. I got this info from the Kimber Shop page and I pasted the two paragraphs about our handguns. Sorry I can't be a better resource, but maybe those pages may help. I do know, as you do, that the Ultra CDP is an extremely comfortable weapon and it makes me look like a better shooter than I am. Won't be selling it any time soon, although I'm selling the Team Match.

I also like it a lot. Did you hear they changed it already? It now comes as single and double action trigger. I am going to contact Taurus to see if I can get mine updated.

You're welcome :D
I'm glad I could help you. I agree with you that this one, for me, is never going to be sold. I've not found a handgun that fits as well in my hand as this one. This will be passed to my son when the time comes.
Again, glad I could help,

Bob
