Guys,
Wondering if any of you have found a holster for the S&W Model 60 J-Frame Revolver? I bought a new one a couple weeks ago, with hi-viz front sight and 3" barrel, and ordered a holster from Fobus for the 3" M60 at the same time, and was pretty excited when they came in together. Slipped that new revolver into the holster...and it wouldn't go half-way down due to the hi-viz front sight--sight channel way too small. What a disappointment! Well, figured it wouldn't be a problem so started looking around. Turns out it is a big problem to get a decent OWB holster for this gun. Just had a dealer send the brand new blade-tech holster for the J-Frame back because it didn't fit. Blade-tech had me send them pics of the gun since they were puzzled, and they contacted the dealer to say that they would have to manufacture an entirely new line of holsters for the gun...but nothing they have currently will work. So hopefully some day Blade-Tech will have one. But surely someone else somewhere in the world has a 3" M60 with hi-viz sights, and has found an OWB holster for it? Anyone? Thanks!

its and easy fix with about 10 bucks worth of kydex. go to ar-15.com, read the kyded holster thread and make one. its quick, cheap, easy, and you will have the perfect holster for your gun. or you can try den strat. they are one of the site holster makers. just scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Talk to Ray at Lobo Gun Leather

http://www.lobogunleather.com/

He's just up the road from you in Pueblo, if he doesn't already have a mold for your piece he can actually use your gun (although I'm sure he has a J Frame mold and can add a piece to make sure it has a large enough sight channel).

He makes real good stuff and its priced well.

Here's a pic of the one he made for my CZ 75 SA .40 (he used my gun as the mold)

Here's some pics (http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?106402-Lobo-Gun-Leather-combo-%28pics%29) of one he did for a J Frame (a particularly pretty lemon squeezer).

Once you get your hands on some custom made leather, Kydex will just seem like cheap plastic by comparison :p
