2,000-year-old Holy Thorn Tree of Glastonbury is cut down.
What kind of ignorant piece of shit would cut down a tree thought to be 2000 years old.

I'm confused...the title says the tree is 2,000 years old, but the article states the original tree was cut down and a cutling from it was planted in 1951 to become this tree. So...the actual tree is 59 years old...

sad... but seriously, who worships a tree?

and before you go on about "a symbol of Christianity", I'll say idol worship comes in many forms...

my bad, i missed that it was a replacement tree. story was to long so i only skimmed it.

not the point of what the tree represents for some, my point was if it was a known 2000 yr old tree that was truly ignorant to cut it down.

this thread is ready for archive.
