Anybody know of a place to get Noveske matched upper/lower combos local? I dont get to the Denver area much so I am not sure where to try?

You do realize that Noveske does not actually "make" the upper and lower in house.

He just stamps his logo and a serial number on the side.

There is about 3 or 4 places in the US that actually manufacture uppers and lowers (other than the machined ones) for the different companies. One day they might make a run of Noveske lowers and the next it might be Armalite or Rock River.

Noveske does put together nice rifles.

But if you are looking for anything with Noveske on the side, your paying for a name.

Yes I do like the name. What would you suggest for the "best"?

I think the best is an accurate gun that runs.

JP, Colt, LaRue, Rock River, Noveske and Armalite all turn out good stuff. I have lowers from all these and a few more. I dont think any of them are any better than the other. I have a couple machined lowers and they are all about the same, just with different bells and whistles.

Spend your money on a good barrel, trigger and glass.

I thought RRA was considered more lower mid tier? I havent owned one but I have heard alot of mixed reviews.

What about Stag? Spikes?

Thanks!

So after more footwork I have a few choices, I really don't want to order and wait even longer. So of these locally available options?

Saber defense 16" on sale for $990 somthing cheap stock and handguards
Lmt upper 16" or 14.5" and lmt lower with sopmod/no handguards for $990
S&w m&p for $750 on sale el cheapo stock/handguards
Rra for $1k good stock and handguards

I like the 14.5" lmt upper but not sure how good it would be for a 200yd all around gun?

I think if it were me I'd jump on the M&P and then put a stock and handguard set you like on it. You'll still be under what the others cost, you'll be able to put the stock/handguards you like on it, and S&W makes good AR's. You could probably put a 4 rail fore-end on it and still be about the same as the others. Just my .02...

I thought about it but figure the cost of a sopmod and 180 for the handguards I want and its out. The sopmod equals out the cost alone almost vs the lmt. But I would probably take the saber over the smith even with equal furniture and the increased cost.

I've run the piss out of LMT's in combat. Trust my life with them. You wouldn't be disappointed with one.

I do like LMT but am torn between the Saber and LMT, but they only have like 7 Sabers left and I dont get paid for another week so I doubt its gonna be an available option unfortunately! Either way its pushing the limit of my budget so not having to buy handguards on top of the rifle is a plus for Saber. Still have to get a sling and case also, mags/ammo and rear sight I have so I dont have to pay for that.

I know you would prefer to buy something locally, so that you don't have to wait, but ordering online is going to open up many more options. With that said, the following links, would get you IMO the best carbine for the money.

I have been in your shoes, eager to get an AR and HAD to buy locally, in order to get it quickly. It also caused me to overpay for a mid grade Carbine, which I have since upgraded. Just something to think about.

I have looked at BCM, but for the cost and wait I would prefer LMT etc. I would actually prefer Noveske but again I would have to wait. I have got to get out coyote hunting.

My only dis-likes on the LMT's are the 1/7 twist, not sure my 50gr federals are gonna fly like they do from a 1/9? And I am not gonna buy expensive ammo just to drop yotes, deer yes, yotes no.

I've got a DPMS, Olympic and a frankenstag. They all shoot great and now I'm collecting bolt guns.
