View Full Version : Ammo Price Question
I'm thinking of selling my 9mm and I've got roughly 2500 rounds of it and I'm wondering how to price it out. 99% of it is 115 grain FMJ target loads. Anybody have an idea of its value?

Depending on what ammo you've got, I try to price it at or just under Wal Mart prices (depending on how badly I need to sell it). Wal Mart is usually fairly well stocked these days, so if someone can just go to the store and buy it for cheaper, they usually will.

When you figure out a price, let me know, I'd be interested in taking a thou off of ya as I am picking up a 9mm this week.

Every time I go to Walmart, they have ~20 boxes of 115gr FMJ Federal at $10.47/box. So probably not all that much.
I'd also be interested if its a good deal.
Why not just post it for a little less than you see it priced for online? Somebody will buy it quickly.
OTOH, the bubble has popped, and prices are crashing like the Hindenburg.
You probably paid ten cents a round for it, so 20 cents a round gives you 100% profit.
Anything under $200 per 1k is what I'd look at. Otherwise I'll go to the store myself.

I would start at $200 per thousand. And prorate it for lesser amounts or give a little discount for someone taking all of it. I sold a similar amount and someone bought it in bulk for $185 per 1k.
