I'm planning on coming out to the shoot. If the weather is nasty, I'll probably take a pass. I shoot for fun. Freezing my ass off isn't exactly what I call fun.

The local forecasters are saying mid 40's by Thurs and through the weekend.

...but when it's this cold, I'll believe it when I see it. :shock:

ETA: Can't trust these local "forecasters". They change their forecast as the weather actually happens. I guess it improves their 'hit' rate. Now it's not supposed to hit 40 until Friday and be 42 on Saturday.

Figure this, if they're saying 42-45 degrees down here it will most likely be 32-35 degrees up there. I have enough cold weather stuff it may not bother Me, I may not be able to move, :wink: . If You can check this thread at 6:30 P.M. on friday, We'll see what the weather looks like and make a decision then.

We'll still do a check in on Friday and see how many are still interested,for this Sat. If it doesn't really sound all that warm or, if there are more smart types like GearHead :wink: , We can take the chance and postpone for a week, and see if the weather improves.

Well, maybe not. :roll: Combine the cold with the fact that I have finals next week and it's pretty much for sure that I'm not gonna make it. The 17th would work for me, though.

I think I'm going to bow out on this one. I looked at the forcast close to the shoot spot and it says a hi of 35. That means at 10-11 am it will be in the 20's.

Shooting while freezing my arse off does not sound like fun. :(

I am a pussy don't like cold and if I did show up would look like I was from the antartic and could not shoot anyway. :)

Ok I will go this far if enough people are willing to go I will show up. I will not be able to shoot because of clothing so I will watch. I will bring one gun the M16 you shoot it then I will put it under my coat to warm me up. :D

The weather was nicer today, but it still appears that it's not happenin' tomorrow. You guys have fun next weekend.

I may head back over to the South shoot location tomorrow to get in some trigger time.

My only real concern is the wind. They're making it sond like its goig to kick in about noon and keep going. I can handle cold, I just do not like the wind. :lol:

Hopefully it'll be warmer next weekend. By then I'll be done with finals, so I won't have that hanging over my head like I am this weekend.

Besides, I can't imagine loading magazines when I can't even feel my fingers.

From the sounds of it I'm going to go ahead and cancel this months shoot.
Going off what they are calling for the high temp for the day, I don't want anybody ending up with frostbite or anything.

Of course now that I have made the decision, it'll be 70* tomorrow. :P :P
