Wimpy Hi Power Safety Cure?

Is there a cure for the "noodlely" feeling weak safety of a Hi Power? Every one I've felt just doesn't inspire confidence, from early versions to late models.

The safety engagement spring is rather short, so maybe that's an inherent design flaw?

I would just like my Hi Power safety to positively engage and disengage like a 1911.
