My buddy and I are looking into taking our CCW class sometime soon, preferably before school starts back up for me on Jan. 17. Is there a list anywhere of places that offer classes? Does anyone have any personal preferences?

I found a list in a .pdf file from the Adams County Sheriff website, but all it has is contact info.

Edit: http://co.adams.co.us/SheriffWeb/CHP/InstructorsListRev0012805.pdf

We're both fairly familiar with firearms, so maybe the advanced CCW class would be ideal.

That link isn't working for me right now, but if it's the one in Thornton on the 14th, I saw it too. A little pricy, but I've not priced out anything else, so we may do that one.

I'm currently holding small classes right now. You can contact me with questions or to set up a class. Here is a link to the page of my site devoted to CCW training.

I'm a member of the Aurora Gun Club out on gun club road and e-470. The class can go as long as it needs to, but I've been teaching 1 person at a time so we can usually get through it in less than 4 hours. However, if a person brings enough ammo and wants to get in allot of practice, I have no problem staying longer. There is very little lecture and I don't go into the law. It basically covers how to safely load, unload, carry and use a pistol in a gunfight. I broke the whole program into 3 progressive classes because all together they cover ALOT of information. The idea is you take the class notes handout I will give you and practice in between taking the classes. Though the beginner level class is enough to get a CCW permit.
