Need some leads
my business agent was ridiculous
my personal stuff agent was half of ridiculous, which still isn't pretty.
leads/agencies/etc
I have a 10K policy with State Farm that covers my firearms. I pay once a year and it was somewhere a bit less then $150. Sue Ball is the agent I use and it is listed as an Other Sporting Equipment if I remember right.
NRA Or, I have a rider on my homeowners insurance which is waaaaaay cheaper.

well, the rider on the homeowners was state farm, and it's $18/$1000 covered. (my business guy was $30/$1000, I told him flat out no)
jewelry is like 1/2 of that, and more in line with what I"m thinking.

^^^^ This. I think mine is $167 for an extra 10K for a total of 12K on firearms.
You may have more expensive firearms than I do, Brian. ;)
I believe mine works out to like an extra $8-10 bucks a month for $10,000.

so I ran the NRA quote machine.
$450/$25,000 which is $18/$1000 insured, same as state farm.
and BTW, you shouldn't start adding up values of your safe, it gets frightening really effing fast.
all my money I spent on ammo, shells and guns
The rest I wasted.
Wow,, we pay $40.00 per 6 months for 10k on the guns and safe.

care to share from whom?
that would be helpful information.
what company?
See, $8/$1000 seems a lot more reasonable than $18

Don't insure mine. Too expensive. I just make sure everything is always locked in a safe other than personal defense stuff.
You may run into trouble getting a stand alone floater police without having to also move your home owners insurance. Just something to be aware of.

I have mine through USAA, but you have to qualify to be part of them. Pretty cheap.
This is my insurance broker. Always been happy with him.

USAA offers firearm insurance. IIRC, they wanted Serial #s and other info. Seems it was a lot more detailed then jewelery and tools.

Have it on my home owners through Farmers.
They lifted the cap on it, so if you have 400k in guns they will insure them just get your check book out. I also have the limits up on tools and jewlery. I have 15k coverage for firearms and it wasn't that much, I pay by the year. Its all bundled in my homeowners policy so I don't know the exact amount.

i have had usaa for a long time. i dont see how you guys are saying their fireams insurance is cheap...unless you dont have many guns.
they charge 12.50 a month for 10,000. 25. for 20,000, 37.50, for 30,000. that gets expensive. per year. unless 10,000 is all you have. i would be interested in hearing about cheaper policies.

I'm a State Farm Agent and have a personal articles floater for my firearms and some of the wife's jewelry. Everything is covered for replacement cost with no deductible.
Send me a PM with your zip code and value you want insured and I'll let you know how much to cover the entire amount.

I'd have a pretty sweet collection if my four guns were worth $10,000. My 4 guns are probably worth right around $1,000.
