I've been toying with a New Years resolution.

Since I started tracking my credit-card balance on 8/31/03, I've noticed the balance has INCREASED roughly $300/month. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

In 2004, I made progress in 5 months, and I went backward in 7 months.
In 2005, I made progress in 6 months, and I went backward in 6 months.

I'm thinking a resolution to make progress on my credit-card balance every single month in 2006. That is to say, end each month owing less on the card than when I started the month.

Then again, there are still lots of toys I want....

:o

That'd be a good one for me too. Although mine should be "go to scheduled matches regardless of the weather forecast..."

I'll be a stick in the mud and state that I don't do "New Year's Resolutions".

My monthly resolution is to pay the statement balance on every credit card every month. I don't get as many toys, but I sleep better.

Normally, I don't bother with them either but, this year I resolve that by the end of 2006, I will be the *^&( out of construction. :D

I'm with marlin, I fully plan on being out of Security sooner rather than later.

I don't make formal resolutions, but I usually try to solidify some goals.

A) Improve "game" ;)
B) Fix car
C) Acquire CCW training and permit, and more guns
D) Get some decent unarmed defense training

etc.

Brian.. Jason and I are still trying to find a decent CCW instructor for a small group +range time. Got a great lead from Scott at Blue Star Police Supply today, will let you know what we find...

New Years... hmm..

1. Be a better dad and spend more time with my boys
2. Make up with my Daughter (again)
3. Work on tactical pistol shooting

Nothing impossible (like quiting cigs or what not), just good stuff. Though number 2 might be damn near impossible considering her attitude

My new years resolution is simple get my shop going to the point I don't have to live there. I have not had a single day off in 4 years I have been there rain or shine, Hell or highwater. More than once inbetween working on cars I was puking in the trash can sick as a dog. My drag car has not left the garage in 4 years my Harley has only seen minimal miles in 4 years. Hell the only thing I have had any time for is attending some of the shoots which has kept me going thanks guys and did some very minimal weekend hunting.

I guess in short my resolution is to actually be able to take a day off. :)

To BUST as many DUIs as I can. Which should help Karl make more
money to keep his women[s] happier.

Me too! Three possibles right now and a lunch date for next week; insurance checks are in the mail and the car should start actually getting worked on in two weeks; no CCW stuff yet, but I picked up my MkII the day after the original post. Nothing on front D yet.

Progress in January and February.

One month at a time...

so much for that plan.

However, I am at a much better paying site than I was at this point last year, so at least it's a step upward.
