Please accept my appology for my sold bumpings! I was just tring to make a point. I'm tired of going back 6-12 pages thinking I can get a good deal only to waste my time on someting that has already been Sold, Traded, or other.

For that I APPOLOGISE!!! And for those who sent me Hate P.M.s I'm not a bad guy once you get to know me. But now I'm just a little paronoid if I try to have any dealings with you, or purchaces with any of you what might happen??

All I want is for my kids and everyones children to be safe and be able to walk, play and love other people without having to worry about the Assholes of the world, including the government.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's with the urgancy to get some guns? Do you know something the rest of us don't? Has the zombie invasion begun?

Jk

In the for sale section I tend to only comment on the great quality of an item or that I just sent a pm. Everything else can be said via pm.

Don't wory about the nasty pm's. Everyone on here is good people and will treat you with respect during a sale.

Nice way to boost the post count!

I saw one at the mall, now one out on my lawn. Easy to spot, red suit, fat and not real bright. Got to go open the safe...

I don't know if that was the best way to make a point, if you go back and look the people of the forum decided we wanted the ads kept so you could look back at pricing.

Let this be a lesson to everyone - don't do this sort of thing -- PLEASE.

Not only is it disrespectful to those with active items for sale/trade, but it creates a bootload of work for the mods to have to clean up (and, as such, tciks us off enough to give the offender a cooling off period).

DSB, I almost PM'd you to ask WTF? I wouldn't have called you any names or anything as that is quite childish, but then I figured "i'm sure he has plenty of people PM'ing him". I'm sure you are a great guy and in time you will learn how folks on here operate. Some people make it VERY obvious when an item is sold (which is great and it saves a lot of hassle for all), and some folks either don't come on here enough to amend their items accordingly, or they forget. Either way, it is their choice as to how they do business and how they run their threads (provided they follow the rules). Anyway, have a Great Christmas eve!

I often wonder about a persons real reason for an apology.
Most people apologize to avoid the fallout of their actions. Some apologize to gain sympathy.
Still others apologize in remorse for their actions and the impact they have caused.

To have created such a negative impact and taken Moderators from their family and/or Holiday activities for such a selfish and shallow cause, I would expect the apology to be a bit less focused on what people are saying to you and be a bit more selfless.

Just my observations.

Thank you to Ginsue and all Moderators for your selfless work here.

Did I miss something? Or did I smoke a lil too much?

OP went through a couple dozen threads of various age and bumped them to say the thread should be deleted.

How about this!?

When you modify your original post to sold..
Go to the first post you made, and in the first sentence edit your post with a sold even bolden it if you like, but please leave the original asking price.
That way:
#1 When someone is perusing the for sale forum when their cursor hovers over the post and you see the little pop up and the for sale comment will be clearly visible right out in front without paging thru to the very end to only to find out your dream item has already been sold/traded, whatever.
#2 if you leave the original sale price instead of deleting said price those of us that had been drooling over it will at least have a reference of the latest asking price before said item sold, and price was overwritten with SOLD?

You are lucky Ginsue ran across it before I did..

You would have been spending the next two weeks wondering why your account didn't work.

All,

This thread is going to be moved to the general discussion forums which is where it really belongs, but I need to ask that everyone back off of the OP a bit.

We all make mistakes, this one was a bit of a doosie (esp for me). We all hope we learn from our mistakes. I hope the OP has learned from this one.

I understand the frustration of many of you with active threads in the For Sale forum, but the name calling isn't appropriate and I ask that it stop.

Let's just move forward and forgive and forget - at least as a personal favor to me.

Thank you.

That is exactly why I always like to see asking prices remain on items, even when the item is sold. Gives me a rough guide on prices (current EXPECTED prices). OK, now I'll go back to sleep. Zzzzzzzzz

I don't know what happened, but I think I'm going to join the PTA at a school my kids don't go to and start demanding changes.

Whatever happened seems to have sailed right over my head. I thought Ginsue did something, but now I'm finding out he was the one with the shovel doing the cleanup?

Personally, if something I was interested in sells, I'd like for the ad/thread to remain, so I can go back and see that it's sold. I've gone nuts looking for things and couldn't find them, only to find later that it was sold and the thread deleted. That always blows my poor little mind.

I also like seeing both the pricing and photos of items that have sold. Gun pics = cheesecake.

One other thing, when something you have listed for sale gets sold, DON'T bump it by making a new reply saying its sold, just edit the damn thing! BRILLIANT!!! [Beer]
