This is gonna be a toughie

My wife and I don’t have any kids yet, we do however have a niece and nephew living in Phoenix and sent them off some presents this year, along with presents for her parents and siblings. Catch is her family lives across the street from a former meth lab and a long list of junkie POS turds. They bought their house fresh out of college and they neighborhood hasn’t gone remotely up sense, and they are currently trying to get out.

Well, they have had a series of run-ins with said turds, stealing this and that and being your run of the mill everyday, should-be-exterminated waste-of-space, should be embarrassed for their ancestors as their genes all but disprove evolution, jerks! Come from apes, shit, these bastards make apes look classy. If the worst they did was throw their own excrement I would be sort of proud of them, might just want to put them in a cage and laugh at them. But yesterday, one of these crap-eating scrotums stole the kids’ Christmas presents we had sent them. It wasn’t of any particular cash value, some hand made wood toys and a couple hair pins (I think this is what they are called) for the girl, but that almost makes me more MAD. Stealing kids toys for Christmas to presumably buy drugs, only to find crap you couldn’t pawn if your life depended on it. We can replace it all, but common, Christmas.

I know there is damned near nothing I can do. They have called the police so many times about minor-ish things I have a feeling they wouldn’t see a black and white for a month for a single box, but it just eats me up that people can be so low as to steal from kids, we’re talking 3 and 1 years old, on Christmas.

I feel better, thanks

Sorry to hear that Matt... It sounds like its wiser to send them gift certificate/cards next time. Hope the kids aren't too sad about it.

Merry Christmas to you and family.[Beer]

That sucks man. I was born and raised in Tempe. There's a reason I'm up here in CO now. My family all still lives in AZ and my brother lives in Phoenix. He was in a similar situation where his across the alley neighbors were continually breaking into his car and taking his mail. There are more colorful details of what special kind of white trash these people were but that would be a tangent in its own. Anyway he couldn't get the cops to do anything to these people even though he could physically see some of his belongings in their backyard. Something about he couldn't prove that it was his property.

Along with the Christmas part of your rant though I'll add this. I was in King Soopers here in Lakewood yesterday and witnessed old folk almost getting run over by people time and time again. People are rude and have no respect these days. It makes me sick.

Yeah, I come from AZ and you couldn't make me go back at this point.

People are just rude these days, my wife works in food service and I am in health care, its amazing what some people think of as appropriate. Just basic selfishness.

They should be beaten senseless over a matter of weeks then let loose way out in the desert.

On a side note its not hard to get people like that to move. When me and my wife bought our first house in Las Vegas we soon had a crack house down the street. It was a nice quite neighborhood. Turns out a father of one of the Tenessee Titans lived across the street from them (I cant remember his name). But after a few calls to the police with no help and even a 911 call for a dispute involving 2 cars and multiple guys with golf clubs beating a guy and his car on x-mas day 2k me and the guy down the street teamed up (he was one of the biggest SOB's I have met). We got them to move about 2 weeks later after no one could get to the house to buy anything, and they couldnt "safely" leave the house to go out at night! But I think someone was sniping their porch light with a 22 rifle, which lit the surveillance camera they had?

Apache Junction AZ was a nice place to live at least 85-89.

I'm Not sure if that makes you smart and makes me sympathetic with your plight
or
If that makes you liken to a Californian and makes me apathetic.

You must be one of those nose in the air, I'm better than you "Native Coloradans" who look down upon anyone that doesn't have at least 6 generations of family history in Colorado. [LOL]

I just wish the OP the best in correcting their situation before something serious happens to the innocent children that have to live across the street from these type of SCUM BAGS.

The sunshine down in the desert is the only thing short of inbreeding that can create this type of sun baked brain crazies, and throw in a bunch of crystal meth, you have never experienced the world's weirdoes until you have lived and grown up among them.

It would not be difficult to "assist" the tweakers into making a mistake by stealing and being caught with identifiable goods[Muaha]

Just reread the OP, isn't mail theft a federal offense? Inform the Post Office.

Lived in Tempe for two years. Unfortunately this isn't just a bad neighborhood type of thing. It happens all over down there. Phoenix is getting to be a pretty shitty place.

Not just Phoenix, I'm from Tucson.

Just weird bad stuff seemed to be the norm.

I worked with a kid at my hospital here who thought he was a bad ass little gang-banger, asked where I came from

"Tucson"
he said
"Oh shit dog, you must be HARD"
...

I was not very proud of my home town in that moment.

I lived in Tempe for 15 years. I ran my business in a complex, just behind Minder Binders on McClintock. I was robbed twice while there. Tweakers and illegals are a real problem there. Even worse is the tweaking illegals. :) I was in Tempe for Tday and things have been shuffled quite a bit in the 4 years I have been living here in Boulder County. My first house I owned down there was behind Earnhardt Ford off of Baseline and Rural. It use to be a great neighborhood. It is practically the bario now.

We were lucky to sell our second house. Took a huge hit. I had two mortgages for 29 months when we moved up here. It was tough, but we did it. My inlaws have been trying to move out of Chandler for 3 years now. Housing market is still dropping down there. Most people have simply been walking away from their obligations, thus making it worse.

Sorry to hear about your family having to put up with the losers down there. Like someone said earlier, what goes around comes around.

just behind Minder Binders on McClintock

And as much of a tweaker infested, illegal overrun, intensely hot shit-hole that the valley has turned into it still holds some of the best memories of my life. I loved Minder Binders. I remember being in there with a buddy's dad multiple times as a kid. I was there quite a few times after the age of 21 also. Good good times with some good ASU eye candy. Wow. That's the AZ that I miss.

Sorry for the tangent. Seeing Minder Binders got my head rollin'.

Hopefully the kids still had a good Christmas even without your gifts OP.
