Any body have one? We got our son the "Hawk eye" helo for x-mas. Takes pic and videos but we are still trying to figure it out. I guess I am not a pilot [ROFL1] But I am gonna have to get me one or an airplane so I dont tare up his.
Honestly, Airhogs are really cheap and break easily. Go to ebay and look up syma s107, you should be able to find one for $24 and they are as good as you can get for a mini helicopter.
Sorry, I thought this topic was about Michelle Obama.
lol, I wouldn't pay the stated $24 for her as I did the helicopter....

Whats an airhog?? Is that a kids toy?? Or an elderly person hoging a oxygen tank? [Coffee]
that's funny. Santa brought our 9 year old the exact same one. Make sure you wait 15 minutes before you plug the damn thing in to the USB for the download/charge. If not, you'll be sorry. After about 6 hours of practice, he's got it down pretty good. If I can figure out how, I'll post one of his videos. Once it's up and running, it's a great toy. The Hawk Eye was a cool $50 btw.

What do you mean wait 15min? Mine doesnt charge right I guess? When you plug it in the green light is on steady but never flashes? Then when you fly it you have limited distance and if you hit pic/video button it just drops.
Something sounds skrewie. Ours doesnt do that. Take it back to Wally World and get a new one. If you dont wait 15 minutes for the battery to cool off before charging it overheats the USB port and bad things happen to your PC.

My in-laws bought me one as well, broke within 10 minutes. When returning it the CS rep at target told us to not bother getting another as they had something like a 70% return rate on them.

Wife got me the Syma s107 for Christmas... that is so much fun, and a perfect size for flying around the living room. I even managed not to crash it into the tree.
I hereby nominate it as the single most manly toy that doesn't involve explosives and is under a thousand bucks.

My boys just received their s107s today, they are very easy to fly and a lot fo fun. I am going to pick one up for myself.
See, not everything that I say is complete shit... [Coffee]
I think I need to send my S107 back :(
It doesn't fly more than 6" above ground. It's kinda fun, but still! It's done that since I got it a week or so ago.

I called Airhogs about mine and they are sending a new one out. They do not even want the old one back, I just had to cut the rotors and email them a picture. If I had the receipt I could have took it back to Toys R Us. I thought about wal mart but the rotors were already scuffed up.

Might need a new battery. There are several reports that the battery is very fragile on these. The batteries are pretty cheap.
We have only flown one so far but I was able to hover at any altitude I wanted with it.

Take it back to Walmart and get the s107. One of my sons got an Airhog and it would not charge from his Tx. Took it back to Walmart and the cashier said "Let me guess it doesn't fly. We have gotten tons back that won't fly." We just returned it and bought the s107s.

After reading this post, I talked my 8yo son into using his Christmas money to buy the S107 and it's awesome. But I think I play with it more than he does.

After the battery has discharged a bit it will do that. I get about 3 min of vertical flight, then about 7 minutes of 6" off the ground. Are you letting it charge all the way before giving it a try?

That's funny, I get about five minutes of flight, and a little over one minute of six inch flight time.

If you get to the point where it will not lift above 6" you should stop flying. You are discharging the battery too far and causing damage. Both my sons helis will fly anywhere from 6" to 16' for a full 6-7 minutes. As soon as they seem a little under powered they stop and re-charge.

Huh? We have had our two for about four months now, I drain em till the rotors don't work. Also snipped the wires to the damn annoying LED light that was on it taking my power away from the flight time. Figured they would create a "memory" if I didn't drain them all the way. Hasn't changed the flight time of either of mine yet though.
They have the 18" version on ebay right now for $55 shipping included. I know one of the listings is 220723408172.

Lipo batteries are not very susceptible to memory like nicd and nimh batteries. Over discharging is one of the worst things you can do. Incorrect charging is really bad. You are lucky they are still working properly.

I have heard that their bigger helis are not as good.
Are Lipo and Lithium ion the same?

Lithium polymer and lithium ion are very similar but not exactly the same.
