Anyone have any recommendations on range bags, something to hold ammo and shooting gear for one person.
I have looked at products from: Allen Company, Uncle Mikes, and Maxpedition.
Maxpedition tends to be more then I have to spend, anyone have luck with the other companies products?
Are you hung up on TactiCool appearance?
Places like Lowe's and Home Depot have canvas tool bags or totes that may do what you are looking for in that price range.

Look is not a concern, thank you for the suggestions I will look into them.
Camera bags also work and usually have premade "slots" in them for lenses or whatever but I find that magazines, ammo, cleaning tools, etc fit nicely in them.

Also on budget shopping don't forget thrift stores like ARC-you'd be amazed at what you can find in them without overspending. My son has a terrible thing with losing glasses and picks them up at ARC for usually $2. I usually get great deals on winter type shirts there. [Beer]

Tool bag or I think I paid $30 for the uncle mikes 2 pistol bag at sportsmans.
I have also seen enough decent bags for super cheap at thrift stores to suggest that you look there.

Have you considered a 30 caliber ammocan? It's not soft, but it holds a ton of gear, and you can sit on it at pistol matches.

That's a good deal on a big bag!
This one's hard to beat, but beware....you can put more in it than you can lift! Comes with a second, smaller bag for ammo/whatever, and two pistol pouches. One of my better purchases. I highly recommend it!!! You WILL be impressed and pleased! Read the reviews on it.

If you're looking for something a bit smaller than the above range bags, these might be worth a look:

Anyone had one? I have one incoming but no personal experience with it.

I've gotten good use out of a Midway USA bag. They've got two sizes available and they're well within your price range - http://www.midwayusa.com/Search/#midwayusa%20range%20bag____-_1-2-4_8-16-32?utm_source=mpimgrangebag&utm_medium=midwayusabrandpage (http://www.midwayusa.com/Search/#midwayusa%20range%20bag____-_1-2-4_8-16-32?utm_source=mpimgrangebag&utm_medium=midwayusabrandpage)
The large bag comes with two pistol rugs and a small bag for the essentials. Tons of loops, pockets, magazine slots, etc. I love mine. Wish they had the olive drab available when I bought mine.

+1 great affordable bag. I have this one for my carry BOB and it would also be a good range bag.

haha that is actually an old .22 rifle that my first rifle merit badge class gave me. One of the dad's was a welder and made the barrel like that and welded the bolt shut. We called it the "wabbit wifle" ever since. Great scout memory. [Beer]

I am wondering if the ATF and Gun Grabbing Libtards would consider this an assault wifle.

I've got an Uncle Mike's I got from Sportsmens for I think $50. Has tons of pockets, is VERY sturdy (doesn't lose its shape) and is pretty small. I can carry two pistols in padded sleeves, ammo for both, folded up targets, ears and eyes and all my tools.

Awesome, thanks everyone, I think I am going to go with the midway one (between the and LAPG bag).
Who is the vendor at the Tanner shows that sells bags? I believe he's usually got a number of tables in the N.E. part of the mart. He has some range bags of a couple different sizes up to huge bags, maybe even backpacks. I bought one of his smaller bags for like $15.00 that I use for a range bag and think I got a great deal for the money. Sorry I don't know the vendors name but he's usually at most of the Tanners at the Merchandise Mart that I've attended.
For the money, I'd definately recommend it.

I second Midway, just bought one for my Son for Christmas, gonna get one for myself!
I'm partial to the Comm County BOB bag. Lots of space and all the pockets are useful. CTD ripped off the design and sells it for $20-$25.

Harbor Freight has a good selection of canvas tool bags for cheap.

Bagmaster once had good stuff, not sure if they are still around? I've got another bag that I picked up at the gunshow a year or two ago, but I haven't seen the same vendor in a long time.
