My best friend was in town before Christmas, and his son had never shot precision rifle before. We spent an afternoon on dryfire and instruction, then I took him to the range. We started shooting groups, then progressed to the dot drill. At the end, I had a bunch of plastic army men and tanks glued to a board for him to shoot.

The video was taken with a Flip HD camera just held up to a Swaro spotting scope. The rifle is my Savage Mark II trainer with cheapo bulk ammo. Range was 80 yards with a gusty and swirly wind. The kid is 14. At about 32 seconds, he connects with a tank pretty well...

Another guy who'd tried it suggested using two tripods, one for the scope and one for the camera. I'll definitely try that next time. Or I'll duct tape the camera to the scope...

That's pretty awesome, using army men and tanks etc.. Bet he loved it, and you just made another gun freak.
