see how fast the white pickup is building speed (and energy) going down the hill?

I really hope cadillac uses that bit in part two for a commercial.

Hey, they had bad ass 4x trucks. They're invincible. Just need to work on the 4x stop now. [Roll1]

Wow, and to think I had no trouble out and about today in my little zoom zoom car going up the same hill... granted, it was a few hours earlier... and I'm the fool who takes time to put on chains...

My wife is still out. Hope she's okay, won't be home till after midnight... grrr..

Good tires + Traction Control + Common Sense = WIN!

I will agree 100%. Last winter was the first for my new to me Grand Prix (2006). I got lucky and found a set of 1 month old Ipike studded snows for $150. The first couple of snows we had I was bored to tears.

It was imposable to screw up unless you were totally stupid. I had to take the TC off just to have some fun. When I went out today it was sheer ice everywhere. Yes, I had to be careful but as long as I used common sense I had no problem with the hills and roads.

I do have to say this is the first FWD car that I have had any confidence in when it came to winter driving. The few before made me want my RWD with a LS diff. Just the way I grew up I guess.

And one other thought about winter driving. Why do all the Idjets want to drive down the middle of the road where it is the slickest? Do they not understand that the crunchy bits on the side are traction?

Oh well, just an old guy that has never had an accident (been run into 4 times) I guess there is something to be said for growing up racing. :)

Can't help stupid.... as the commercial goes "shoulda had a V8". That video only would have been funnier if someone in a little smart car with tire chains would have drove past everyone and zipped right up the hill.

On another note...I watched someone here on Ft. Carson drive by on a scooter today. That was actually pretty impressive figuring that I was barely getting moving in my 4x4 truck as some of the stoplights.

well tonight I drove home from a buddies house at 2am.

roads were slick.

I mean damn slick.

slicker than the tongue of a georgia democrat.

ran three or four red lights. going up hill, light turns yellow, nobody else coming the other way so I kept on going. sometimes going around folks that did stop for the light. I don't know if they ever got going again, but I didn't see them in my rear view before I turned.

while waiting to turn northbound onto academy from constitution, the light turned yellow on a yahoo in a ford ranger going south on academy way, way too fast.

he tried to stop, fishtailed a little bit and ended up going into oncoming traffic and eating the curb. thankfully the northbound people saw him, and weren't driving like idiots.

That was one of the funniest things I have seen in a while!

I came close on thursday. Watched a 3 car right in front of me and had to skid and steer my way away from it then check on the people involved.

That was some funny shit. I noticed the Wrangler at the beginning of the video was pretty much the only guy that made it all the way up and through.
