View Full Version : accu-wedge, do they help?
hi all. been thinking about installing an accu wedge in my bushmaster and not sure if nec.. there is a little play(slop) between upper and lower, but the accuracy is ok. also mine is without a muzzle brake( clinton era).what brakes/comps. do all of you use/recommend.Thanx
i bought one just to have one... it's not even installed, my bushy doesn't have any play... i did test fit it
I had one in My A2 setup for about a Year, untill I lost it some how.
Too be honest I can't tell the differance other than it's easier to close.
i have 2... where in the rifle do you put it? Came with no instructions LOL
It's your money! 8)

Get the barrel threaded and use a "Flash Hider" it makes the libs squirm. Not to mention why on earth would you want a muzzle break on an AR they don't have any re-coil to begin with.
Get a flash hider. The A2 works very well, but some folks like the Phantom and Vortex.
man you guys are gonna hate me when i shoot with my y comp
Naw, They're use to Mine.

An accuwedge won't neccesarily improve your accuracy but it most likely will change your point of aim/point of impact when you add/subtract one. Be sure to resight your rifle. What it does is remove the slop/play between the upper receiver and the lower.
I don't get the whining about the Y-comp. A guy I know and have shot with has one on a 16" carbine and it isn't much worse than any other rifle. And I did stand beside him (about 10' away) when he shot. I was wearing only earplugs and didn't find it really all that obnoxious. :?
Marlin glad to see i'm not the only one around with one...
