I wonder about everyone that has seen this type of action, can they hear anything after or are they pretty much deaf from then on.

We have had ear plugs since the mid 90's that open and close. Not as good as some of the muffs but let you hear commands and provide -22 reduction when the guns and flash bangs start. :)

I'm wondering how long a pair of Walker's game ears (http://www.walkersgameear.com/) would last over there ... I'm thinking the amplification of quiet sounds in addition to blocking loud sounds would be an advantage.

I can't really see the fun in ultra urban combat, clearing a building a room at a time. WAY too many opportunities for bad things to happen. It needs doing, but it has to be nerve wracking as hell.

I've seen the video before & it is NOT SF, or any other USASOC element. Mostly made up of Iraqi police and advisory staff. They still need a lot of work....(flashbang placement, team movements, breaching procedures, etc...) Video is more of a "what NOT to do"

Been there and done that!
I worked with some "Iraqi Commandos"<yeah right! I will leave out the word ELITE.....
My team was like herding cats in a bath tub!

They suddenly dont understand the word "GO" when I(by myself) knocked in the doors and gates but they sure know the words "Follow Me" as I went in FIRST!

My team was Charlie Team and when they would all spread the hell out all over I would yell "Charlie Team" and they would all respond with "Chaleeeee" then group up around me yelling "Chaleeee, Chaleeee, Chaleee" like we just got Saddam!

Seems cool but after a few doors and fences you batter down with your body you will eventually have to wake up the next morning to feel the adrenaline has worn off.

Gooooood Times.

Not trying to be a dick or anything, but you do realise that the primary tasking of an SF team is as a force multiplier, right?
So yeah, you will see a few SF with a Herd of Locals.

Not contesting the video. Just verifying your views of SWC Tactics
