View Full Version : Constitution read on house floor today
Really, this is the first time in history the Constitution has been read on the house floor today, wow.
I had little hope that I would actualy see positive comments on cnn readers comments on this but I checked anyway, I knew better. I dare not look at one of the full on actual liberal/commie news sites.
I sure hope the republican party got the message and dont make 2014 another slam dunk for the dems again since the dems seem to represent the commie agenda now.
And not a single F@#! will be given, bet half the senators will be on their blackberrys and what not.

This
I feel there is just a handful that actually understand the fact that they are there to Serve the people and care what the people think and feel.
While the reading is a good thing and hopefully a reminder of what they are there for I feel it is more for "show" than "go".

And 90% of them will be staring with their heads cocked sideways like the RCA dog.
3/4 of them will not understand it
For 90% of them, it will be the first time they have actually seen or heard the document. The 4 that actually listen will be amazed by the content.

it should be required to get it tatted on urself when you become a senator, that way we would rule out the sissies
Heard or heard of?
Most of 'em have heard of the Constitution, in the same way the rest of us have heard of Sasquatch, Space Aliens, and honest politicians....
A lady in the public section was arrested when she started screaming "Except for Obama! Except for Obama!" when they read the part about natural born citizens. haha
I heard some guy on the radio today saying how not a single senator wrote a single bill without great consideration of the Constitution. I yelled "bullshit!" at my radio every time he said it.
Also, there was a bill passed that requires that every new bill written must include a section (on a separate page) that references the specific part of the Constitution that gives them the authority to write that law. He said that the 14th Amendment will basically be a boiler plate and used on most of the laws being passed. He also said that he thought it wouldn't accomplish much because "most laws already reference the Constitution." In my opinion, "most" isn't enough. It should be ALL of them, and the law should be back dated to every law ever written.

I am glad they read it aloud and believe it should be read by each American at least once a year. The sad thing is that during the reading of the Constitution of the United States of America yesterday on the House floor, they decided to leave out some parts. They did not read the "3/5 clause" or the 18th Amendment. I don't know if they were trying to be "politically correct" or keep from offending anyone but, if you are going to make a big show of reading the Constitution that you have sworn to uphold, you need to read all of it. I believe this shows a lack of integrity on their part. You cannot change history by ignoring it.
Just wait until they read Huckle Berry Finn on the floor of Congress.
