Ok so I am about to start with reaqcuiring my firearm collection. Im back to work and the wife has given me a go ahead to replace all the fireams I sold to pay bills and Chritsmas gifts last year and this year. This time I am gonna buy the better quality firearms. No more cheap crap that had basement bargain prices. If I have to sell again, I would like more moeny then $700 for an AR etc etc. SO due to more traffic here, which AR upper should I get next?
Im leaning towards an 18" Larue Stealth upper or their 16" DMR upper.
Or I am thinking of a Noveske upper or even a BCM upper.
LMT is also an option as I have an LMT lower and make it a complete LMT rifle.
What do you guys think? NO Bushmaster, DPMS, Doublestar or RRA this go around. It also has to have at least a 1/8 twist, I prefer the 1/7 though.
Larue all the way. Just go big and get the 5.56 obr lite. Or go for the stealth upper.
amazing accuracy out of the box,all high quality parts and the Larue customer service. You can't go wrong
Just buy Hoser's stealth, add some quality glass and be done with it.

BCM. I would like to replace my Colt with a BCM at some point. But I want a 14.5 middy.

My vote is for Noveske. Fantastic rifles, and their barrels are top notch. I absolutely love mine.
BCM, Noveske and LaRue all have great customer service as well. Whichever you choose, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
I have a LaRue 18" SPR build that is absolutely awesome! One thing to think about though, if you're picky like me....the upper is billet so the lines don't match perfectly on any ol lower you put it on, I ended up getting a LaRue lower. The tolerances are tight, fit and finish are perfect.
I matched it up with a NF 2.5-10x32 with the LaRue SPR mount......perfect!
I was in the same boat, either LaRue or Noveske...I also considered BCM.

Hmm, isn't there a place on this board to talk about such things? [Eek3]:D

So I think the La Rue stuff is about as good as it gets. High end and high priced. Unfortunately, I don't think you're getting anymore FUNCTION over a nice build from BCM. So for me, it's all about function and getting the most for my money. Of your options you listed I would pick and choose my build all from BCM. That way the cost dosen't get out of control and you can get stuff like a nice trigger, high end optics and other accessories for the same as you could have had a nice but more basic rifle from La Rue.
That being said, I recently got a matching set of S&W M&P15TS carbines with 14.5" barrels and permeant Vortex flash hidders with Troy rails. After the rebate I paid $1050 for each of them and I'm very happy with the way I went. Lots of bang for the buck and good quality. For something like you're looking for S&W has the VTAC rifles that run about $1400.
Here's what I got...

Here's the VTAC... There's a new VTAC coming out this year as well.

Ignore the bloated retail prices and check with G&R Tactical if you're interested. That's where I got mine. Also check there for custom built uppers and lowers. He can build whatever you want for less that most.
Good luck.
