This shit is insane out here. I pulled in with a clean car to get gas, went in, paid, 5 minutes later the car is covered. Cleaning windows, and by the time I get back to the side I started, it's covered again!

do what all of the Californians do:
Get in, start it, go back in the house for an hour, come out, get in and drive away causing a white-out behind them as all of the snow blows off.

Meh, I'm a maintenance tech for a telecom company. I take care of fifteen repeater sites, from Denver to Grand Junction, to Raton, NM, and to Norton, KS. I'm on call 24/7/365. Something breaks, I go fix. Day or night, rain or shine. Usually at night, and frequently in snowstorms. I hate snow.

Irving

I actually really enjoy delivering in the snow. It's just the part where I'll be doing it all night tonight, only to go to sleep immediately after getting home and having to be out the door by 6 am tomorrow that is ruining it for me.

Huh? I am not trying to be a grammar Nazi, but This makes my head hurt.

I am going to risk a translation here:

I had a very terrible day. I went get the rest of my AR from RAR and on the way home I took out a stop sign. I called the cops because would rather do that than risk a hit and run. Good thing I had my pizza before sniper got to things....and why does it always have to snow over the friggin' weekend?!? Monday would've been a good start, then Tuesday and maybe Wednesday would have been quiet. Maybe it'll keep snowing all day tomorrow, and it'll still work...[Coffee]

Well, I drove 65 miles in the snow tonight. A few of our drivers crashed. The closing driver hit a curb and blew his tire. The driver that went to pick him up hit the same curb and was afraid to drive for the rest of the night. I ended up working a few hours extra and closing. The closing driver's windshield wiper motor went out earlier in the night and I initially told him "NO! I start my new job tomorrow morning!" but after seeing his wipers not working I relented. I came back to tell him that I'd cover him, but by then he already had a flat so I was stuck covering him anyway. He didn't have to leave immediately (walked home actually) and leave me with both mine AND his side work though. Fortunately, someone else came in and the other driver stayed late to clean the store, so I didn't have to do anything. It was actually a good night for me. I did hit a curb fairly hard once, and it could have been prevented, but no damage.

Tomorrow morning will be fun...

Here is a crappy cell phone pict of the DIA bus roll over at the rental car exit earlier today. 12 people were injured - nothing serious from what I heard...

we didn't get all that much snow in the springs, but the roads deceptively bad.

really slick, but with a nice layer on top. makes it easy to walk on and fools the unwashed into thinking they can just drive like normal.

I'm torn between getting snow, or having the negative and low single digit temps here like we have had the last few weeks. We wouldn't have the same problems here in this tiny town compared to you guys on the eastern slope that have to travel to get to work. Here in the middle of the day, it gets to eight degrees or so. At least when it snows it is around 30 to 35.

What I love are the idiots who can't be bothered to clear the vehicles they parked outside. I have to park my truck outside, as it's too long to fit in my garage. But I clear almost all the snow off, and make sure all my glass is clear. I was taking my daughter to school this morning and this jackwagon in a Ford Explorer pull out of a side street with about a 1 square foot spot cleared off his windshield right in front of his face. He didn't clear any of the snow off the rest of his windshield, never mind his vehicle. He still had 6+ inches of snow on the rest of his windshield and his side windows were totally obscured along with his mirrors. He couldn't see where he was going, kept wandering all over two lanes and nearly got me when I got tired of his giant slalom course and passed him.

On a laptop computer, there usually is no numeric keypad. So, instead, depress the Fn (function) key, then the Alt key, then the numerical code sequence. The numbers are on the fronts of certain keyboard keys: M=0, J=1, K=2, L=3, U=4, I=5, O=6, 7=7, 8=8, and 9=9.
