It is that time of the year again...
Pueblo will once again host the Rocky Mountain Regional Steel Challenge on Memorial Day
Weekend. Same deal as years past. You can shoot either day, Friday or Saturday.
Fridays shooting starts mid day Friday till dark and Saturday starts at 8:00. Lunch is
provided Saturday.
I only have 150 slots and the past two years have sold out.

How can I miss this match? Its the only steel match that I go to each year [Tooth]
I spoke with Lones Wigger a few nights ago about the Regional Steel Challenge and Regional Sportsmans Team Challenge date conflict.
Good news.
The Sportsmans Team Challenge Match is Sunday and Monday while the Steel Challenge is Friday *or* Saturday.
So you can easily get both matches in.

what is open rimfire?
I would be happy to shoot my MKII and ruger 10/22.
never really shot much with a revolver. I guess I could shoot my XD9SC or a 1911 or glock 36

Steel Challenge type matches are very new shooter friendly. They shoot steel at the Weld County range on the first Saturday of every month. You might want to catch a match or two to get your feet wet before the regional.
Any division is good. It just depends on what firearm you are most comfortable with.
Open rimfire is a rimfire pistol with a scope or a compensator.
Shooting a revolver fast takes a lot of practice. Then more practice...

Limited division is pretty much any pistol with iron sights and no compensator/porting.
Match is about half full. Get those apps in if you want to shoot it.

Ok I got the green light from Household 6 to buy ammo and pay my app fee for this match. [Beer] App/check will be delivered via mail today. Hope Im not too late.
Just some last minute info for everyone.
Squadding… We will again use open squadding. Just grab 3-4 people and head to an empty berm and shoot.
Fridays shooting will start as soon as all 8 stages are set up. Set up will begin around 7:00. I am guessing if you show up around 10:00 you can start right away. I will be there till dark, but be there by 4:30 or so if you want to get it all done that evening.
Saturday has a formal start time. Be there no later than 7:30 so we can start shooting at 8:00. Lunch will be at 11:00. I ordered a few extra lunches just in case we have some walk in shooters.
Each stage has an ammo can with a timer, batteries, paint, bolts and a wrench to repair targets if need be. PLEASE LEAVE THE TIMERS IN THE CAN OR ON THE STAGE AND DO NOT TAKE THEM HOME. Staff members will be by to pick up scoresheets every 15-20 minutes.
We have several safety areas. You can bag and un-bag at your car. Other than your car or a safety area, the only place you are allowed to handle a gun is on a berm when a RO tells you to. If you want to test fire a firearm, find a berm that is not part of this match. Please carry rifles from stage to stage in a case.
The start position for rimfire pistol and rifle is low ready and pointed at the yellow sandbag in front of the box. As far as the prize table goes, we have a lot of stuff to give away. Prizes are by random drawing. You do not have to be present to win.
For the cash payback, if a division has 10 or more shooters the top 3 places will win $$$. Shooters can only win $$$ in one centerfire and one rimfire division. The benefit money wise will go to the shooter if they win multiple centerfire/rimfire divisions. You do not have to be present to win.

It was nice meeting ya today if only for a min.[Beer] Damn meds anyway.
Really enjoyed shooting on Friday. Everything went very smoothly and there was a very good crowd.
Thanks to Hoser for all the hard work in making this happen. Thanks to Gene & Steve for doing all the scoring.

Thanks Hoser I have the results. Thank you and your team for the great shoot. It certinly feels better to not have the same pain as last year. See you at WPGC ans next year.
