Next we're going to hear that he bought a gun from Walmart and that most/all walmarts will quit selling firearms. Oh wait, most already stop selling guns.
I really hope wal-mart brushes this off fast and thinks about the money they would lose if they eliminated ammo sales. they already stopped selling guns...hope ammo isn't next.[Bang]

Yup, Sam died in '92 and is certainly rolling over in his grave these days with how his kids have destroyed his legacy.
Sam was a really decent guy who preferred fishing to anything else. He was known to drop in on different stores (used to do it a lot where I went to college) and would often take a couple of his employees out fishing with him.
Now, as far as this nut job buying ammo at WalMart... I heard a report that the first WalMart store he went to, the Sporting Goods sales rep felt something was fishy with this guy so he said he had to go look for the ammo in the back. Once in the back, he decided that he couldn't, in good conscience, sell ammo to this guy so he told him that they were out of what he was looking for and sent him on his way. Just what I heard.

maybe it isn't all of them, but it sucks that they don't sell them here locally any more. I got my first gun at wal-mart. ruger 10-22 SS with black syn. stock. $199.99 plus tax!
I still have that gun...although now it is decked out with a heavy barrel, aftermarket stock...oh yeah, and a silencer that cost more than the gun![Flower]

I work on Washington right by there...I should drop in and check it out. Never seen a Walmart with guns before. [ROFL1]
All teh Walmarts in the Springs have a few shottys and .22lrs with an occasional long rifle.
