From The Denver Post (the only paper in town)

Prepared text of Hickenlooper's 2011 State of the State speech

I listened to it but not intently.

The looper mentions green jobs. IMO green jobs are government subsidized since the cost effective green job hasn't been invented yet. These subsidies cost you and I money.

just read through it, skimmed a few parts, but a lot of things sound pretty expensive, more big risk without a good outlook for reward.

what the sounds like to me is increased taxes to pay for the shortfalls, not limiting the .gov and controlling its spending.

I just see more years of ritter coming. it would be nice if the incoming administration would bring in all new people. no people from the previous admin should be allowed. at a minimum it would take them a while to get settled in before they did too much damage.

Gazing into the crystal ball.............................................. .Furloughs-Layoffs

I am not comfortable being an employee of the state on his watch. Look how bad he f'd over CCD.

If the looper really wants to help the economy he'll open up the oil drilling on the western slope. He'll work to make Colorado energy independent by extracting oil and natural gas that resides within our state boundaries. He'll rescind that forced change from coal to natural gas on Excel - this should be done when Excel deems it financially sound.
