View Full Version : I'm A Dumbass!! (Sig 2SUM)

I made up my mind to just go buy the Sig Sauer 2SUM. I went to look at it, thinking it was 2 complete guns. It was not. You get two frames and two slides and one trigger housing. Dumbass!![ROFL1]

After looking at it, I realized it was to big for what I'm trying to accomplish anyway. I'm just going to keep the same Sigma I have had for years (that's been simply flawless)and buy a small compact.

I looked at the Ruger, Taurus and the Sig Sauer all in .380's. I wish they made a 9mm that small. I just want something that is not to expensive, very small, easy to clean and will go bang every time I pull the trigger. I'm not looking for anything special or fancy. Just reliable and easy to clean.

Suggestions??????????????

I want something small like the Ruger LCP or the Sig p238. I might just go with the Ruger, after I read some reviews. I'm also going to check out the Kel-tecs. (SP)

Check out the Kel-Tec owner's forum to hear what folks think of theirs -- and all the things that have been breaking on them. Here's a link to their PF-9 subforum: http://www.ktog.org/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?board=newpistol

I may end up getting the Ruger LC9 myself . . . if the trigger isn't plastic.

I carried a Kahr PM9 for awhile. It was a nice little gun. It actually ended up being too little for me so I got rid of it and got a Sig P239 to take it's place.

I have a Kahr P380 that I used as a pocket carry for awhile. I like it a lot for a .380 but prefer to carry a 9mm. I've always liked the looks of the Sig P238 but have never had the opportunity to handle one.

I'm going to pick up a PM9 for pocket carry. The Sig P290 makes me moist but I don't want to carry a gun thats not even out yet.

That P290 (http://www.sigsauer.com/products/ShowCatalogProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=70&productid=307) looks promising. Hmmm. I found the PM9 a bit too big to pocket carry comfortably. Maybe I gots me some small pockets though . . . .

The P290 is slightly longer, so it won't work for you.

The PM9 is the smallest 9mm on the market (including yet to be released) except for the Rohrbaugh.

I think I'm going to buy a Ruger LCP. I don't think I'll ever find a 9mm that small.

I've been carrying a Keltec P11 for about a year now (~500 rounds, various ammo), and pretty happy with it in general. I'm not particularly pleased with the trigger, and the original sights suck, but both are relatively easy to fix. Not the most pleasant gun I own to shoot, but accurate and controllable(with the finger grip floorplate installed on the mag), and carries 10+1 rounds of 9mm.Smaller than a PPK. Relatively inexpensive as well. At one time, they offered a .40 version, but I can't imagine that working well for follow up shots....

Also the Kel-tec .380 or the Ruger LCP are XXX-celent good pocket toys. Just don't have the punch of the 9mm. But for up close and personal, who gives a Sh*t. A hole is a hole!! [Tooth]
