Barrel fluting/weight reduction?

Just curious if anyone local does this? Say you had a 14.5" govt profile BCM barrel, how much weight could you reduce if any? A family member just got this upper, he needs FF handguards installed, flash hider pinned and maybe a little custom barrel work?
