View Full Version : looking to buy my first AR
I didn't know where to post this so I thought I would post it in here.
I'm pretty new in the gun scene and I'm looking in to buy an AR-15. I was planning on going to the gun show this weekend to look around. So far I am interested in a Rock River or a Bush Master. What do you guys think about the 2 and which would you get? I know very little about guns in general so if any you can help me out I would appreciate it. TIA
colt, armalite, bushmaster and rock river.
I'd go by price as IMHO they're all equal in performance.

Ditto on what 7idl said.
Eagle Firearms is shortly going to open a storefront (in Lakewood was it?) and they have good prices on their website for Rock River rifles.
thats what I've been hearing. I'm probably going to wait till their grand opening to see what kind of deals they have.

Rock River and Bushmaster are both very good rifles. You wont be disappointed with either of them if you get one.
Jensen's up in Loveland is also a good place to shop, in case you can't wait for Eagle to open.
do your self a favor stay away from funshows, unless you looking for a nice adobe lamp,or some elk jerky. that is the only deal's i've found at them in my last few visits. arctic down here in pueblo, or sportsmans supply have had about the best deals i have seen latley for new, if you want used, a good deal pops up every now and then in the for sale forum here. as far as brand's I have 2 bushmasters and am looking to buy a third, so I'm partial to them and my opinion would be biased but I would go bushmaster.

my carbon-15 m4 with 37mm launcher and a bunch of other crap that adds weight to the rifle and makes it not much more than a conversation piece :D
