Suggestions for non "anonymous" e-mail account

Anybody have any suggestions for some non-anonymous e-mail providers? I don't have a problem paying or subscribing, as long as it's not an unreasonable amount. There are a couple AK forums i'd like to join, that require a non anonymous e-mail, as well as just having something other than hotmail,yahoo,google etc. I thought Verizon offered an e-mail address through my account, but i'm not seeing anything. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

you can also just go register your domain and set up inexpensive basic web hosting for pretty cheap.

Pay $8-12 per year for the domain (.com is more expensive than .info or .biz)
Then pay $5-8 per month for simple hosting.

then you can also put up a little web page or at least upload images to your web site for linking hither and yon.
