luckygunner is on some of the other boards and is a good guy to deal with
ive had good luck with the wolf ammo-still have a few that jam but thats after rapid firing
i was allways a big stickler for American ammo in American guns but the prices for just plinking changed my mind
Join the CMP forums. 30-rd GI mags come up for sale off and on, and the CMP sells .30 carbine ammo. You'll want genuine USGI 30-rd. mags though, there's a LOT of crappy non-GI ones out there that'll fall right out of the gun. The little tits on the mags that lock it into the mag well need to be sharp and well-defined, the crappy ones are more like little nubs or bumps.

These are the Korean mags (I think) and mine has not failed me.

Thanks guys, I was doing a little reading and the Korean mags are great from all the reviews I've seen, Found some ammo that was pretty good in price, Now got to get the Tacticool stock off it and get some wood on it.
I have no experience with the Korean mags from CTD, they may be dandies. I just know that I have some 30's with poorly made nubs that'll fall right out of my Inland and my IBM. Just something to be aware of. And they require the correct mag catch/release that's made for the heavier 30 rd. mags. The later M2 style that's made for three nubs on the mags, instead of the two nubs on the 15 rd. mags.

Keepshooting.com has some that i like, they don't have the bolt hold open though, which i liked. Mine have worked very well.
Ammo I like S&B so sportsmans has it sometimes or cabela's.
CMP has Aguila for 200 for 500rds.
I've heard that the USGI ones don't like steel case but wolf is pretty cheap.

I found a good deal at http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/ It was around $18 and change for a box were most place's were around $20-25. they had a 15 round mag I will have to try out. But still looking at getting a few 30rd mags. It just seems I can't get all the stuff in one shot. one place had the mags but no ammo, and the other way around.

I find that the 30rd mags in a .30carbine are just too expensive for me to shoot. Hell even the 15rds cost a bunch. I'm a purist and stick the the USGI 15rd mags for most of my uses, but still have some 30rd mags mainly cause California hates them.
The CTD Korean 30s are excellent. I have a few and never had an issue with them. They have factory reloaded ammo from BVAC which is decent. They had Russian steel case which I save for my .30 Ruger Blackhawk, and from time to time you can get USGI ammo.
