AM I the only one that has noticed that when you tell folks your not interested in a particular offer that they get all butt hurt over that? Its as if whatever they are offering is made in gold and because they offered it and I need to jump right at it and get it instead of wasting their time for 2 or 3 short messages about the item back and forth.
Wondering if anyone else is seeing this lately?

What brand, what barrel type or length, what stock configuration, what accessories? At no point or place in your add did you mention specifics so I offerd what I had and you turned it down. No you didn't waste my time but you didn't clearly state what you were looking for and I replied that you should post it in your add to keep people from offering what you don't want. If you don't describe what you want in the first place, don't start insulting the folks that offer you something. I can guaran-ass-tee you that the rifle I offered is far better than most newer Springfields. All GI parts, 100% reliable and a damn fine specimen. You are the whiney ass. I never implied this rifle is made of gold but you sure seem to think yours is. And as far as "Patience with dealing with people is probably a good thing to have exspecially in doing trades or buys from folks", maybe you should apply that to yourself. So like I stated in my message back to you since you want to make this public, I didnt know there was a Fed Ord M1A, never heard of them and you messaging me 2 times in the course of probably an hour(I dont have the messages because I deleted them) you get all butt hurt over the fact i did research on it and said I wasnt intereted in a Fed Ord and didnt want to get stuck with a shitty rifle. T, never did I state your particular rifle was shitty just F O in general,that really isnt wasting time. Your acting like your ice cream cone fell in the sand. I am not gonna put on there every fucking specific type of firearm that I want as that limits the possibilites of others that could be close to what I want. So the more specific as you request, will in reality limit the amount of limited responses we all get on this board as it isnt exactly the biggest board in the net.

Patience is a good thing to have when your dealing with folks in the process of trading, buying or selling firearms.
In the future, Id recommend you chill out with folks and maybe even reconsider your mental state for dealing with folks and owning firearms. In my opinion, not a great combo to have, shitty temper and firearms that is.

To be honest there are maybe six or so M1A configurations that I'd like, and I do feel his pain about people getting all "butt hurt" (gosh, I'm still giggling at that).

1. people who know little about guns aside from their Mosin Nagant or Glock.
2. people who know what it is you're trying to sell and who have an honest intention of dealing honestly.
3. people who are semi-secretly in the business of buying and selling guns who hope to take advantage of you in case you're stupid and dont know what you're selling is worth. They have a sub-species that buys ANY "black rifle" as long as it's cheaper than normal, secretly squirreling it away for the apocalypse.
4. People who think that the original sale price is the STARTING point for the value of their trade, and wholesale is the HIGH price you should expect for your trade.
5. People who think that any S&W over 20 years old is a COMBAT MASTERPIECE, when in fact it's an I-frame kitgun.
6. People that don't really want to sell or trade their item, but get a kick out of seeing what people will offer for it, because "who know" some sucker may have major wood for his little toy. This type is usually a retired guy who may go shooting once a year and has six gun safes packed to the brim.

Aard if I really wanted to waste your time, I would have drug it out for you to send me pics and then ask for more specific pics of this that or the other and then said something along the lines of "Well let me think about it til monday next week and I will let you know" Then ask for more specific pics and then after 2 weeks say, "Naw Im not interested"
Now that is a prime example of someones time being wasted. Has happened to me and a many others I am sure.
So time to change the tampon I think

WTF is up with that? And limit your options by being specific? ...I've got options but you didn't give a chance before you puked: 16" and 20" barrels, standard config, match, Zeiss/Svarovski/ART/Nimrod scope equiped, standard wood stocks, fiberglass stocks, folding stocks, M14E2 stocks, custom laminated stocks, spare bolts on all rifles, spare parts for all..more accessories than needed.

You put the order of sequence in the improper order of messages sent and since you brought this to the public forum. I wasnt going to let anyone know that I was refering to you in this thread, but you couldnt allow that to happen and had to defend yourself. Figrued you would have at least defended yourself in private messages to me, when I never mentioned your name or even what type of transaction I wasted your time on. You chose this and I responded.

Yup, clocked and all that jazz. Most secretary types run from 60-80. I got 96 at the last testing. That's with the standard 5% margin for error, spelling/cap/punct, etc. They frown on texting or shorthand language as well, lol.

I'll k.i.s. since it's been drawn out too long and does little good to continue.
1) The order of emails is exactly how it appears in my mailbox. Mods can check it if needed/wanted.
2) You sent your hostile email and posted your snide comments in the open before I had a chance to reply. Knowing that I and others read the open discussion, of course I found it offensive and felt a need to reply and I did. I posted my side and the information for all to see instead of hiding in private and putting up with your attitude.

You chose this and I responded." You didn't really give a chance before posting the open comments, did you? Perhaps if you would have waited for my reply in email you would have understood where I was coming from and refrained from you initial post and things could have ended amicably.

Sorry for the delay in response.
I was woken at 10 am and we had an onsight Safefty class that lasted until around 4pm and I went back to sleep and been sleeping in between surveys. I know for all the popcorn hungry folks this is no excuse for not being back on at 1900 hours.
This post is entirely dedicated to Aardvark, not anyone else. I know I make offers to people on here and I think out of the 10 transactions I have had with the wonderful folks of this board, maybe 200 "No Thanks" have come my way and this is the first one that someone got there panties in a bunch and had a cow.
I am no stranger to the "No thanks, Im not interested" reply and I do the same for other posters who are asking for my stuff. It is no skin off my back if my item or items dont seem to fit exactly what you are looking for. Thank God for this and other sites as I would have been stuck with some stuff I just didnt love. I liked thme, but I that I didnt love. Even this site has come through in a pinch for me when I had to sell off one of my firearms for a few family emergencies.
BTW Aard, dont ever call me a Brother Gunner unless you were a Gunner's Mate in the Navy or Coast Guard. Should be pretty slef explanatory. I honestly dont care if your refering to our mutual enjoyment of the firearms world.
As for the add I have, I got a "hit" today with a potential trade that Im going to consider because that person understands how to be civil in texts and doesnt get butt hurt over me saying no after may 2 or 3 emails.
I know its tax time and all, are you getting nailed to the wall or did you have a shitty Xmas due to your Sig Other leaving you high and dry? Im making assumptions but all very plausible assumptions. At any rate send me your address so I can send you a Costco box of tampons for ya!!!!!!!!
