Anyone here have one (or more) and what's your feedback on shooting them, fun factor,HD,etc. I saw that one of you had one at the Springs shoot over the weekend but I don't know who it was. Just watching Byte's video kinda got my interest. Thanks [Beer]
Don't own one. But have shot them before.. Yeah, I'd give it a high fun factor..
I just finished this one (pretend there's a buffer tube on it, I don't have a pic of it on my work laptop)

it's my discount gun. . .
Lower from Delaware Machine- $60.50
parts kit:-$75
complete upper $375 from arf.com
buffer/tube/spring $75

I haven't shot it yet, but I have shot others and it does put a grin on your face
Have any of you shot the Kel Tec 223 pistol? What is it like?

BP Tactical had one there and was shooting up a storm. The thing was stupid loud, and the muzzle blast could be felt from 10 ft. Away, but it looked fun as all get out.
I never got a chance to shoot it though. Every time I asked to have go with it BP would pull it to his chest, wrap his arms around it and start shouting: MINE, MINE, MINE, MINE.

Yeah I read about the noise and muzzle blast today doing a little research. I can imagine the noise if you used it for HD in a hallway. [UZI]

I've often thought an AR pistol would be fun ... but I imagine it would end up getting SBR'd as soon as I had an extra $200.

One of the best AR15 variant as far as fun factor. The firey pig really channels the sound forward.

Correct me if I am wrong but this buffer tube assembly is designed to accept a rifle stock, doesn't that make this a SBR?
What exactly is the reg on that?
as far as I had heard this is a HUGE no-no?
Am I sideways?
I was thinking the same thing ... I believe they call it "Constructive Possession" or something like that (but I didn't want to be the usual wet blanket that I seem to often be in these cases).

You are correct. If its setup as pictured, the pin holes for the 'adjustable stock' must have been filled permanently - at least per BATF's letter posted on either arfcom or firingline forums.

traded it to someone on the forum for a carry gun, the ar pistol is just hard on conceal

Wrongo "Trunk Monkey".....
IT'S NOT MINE,MINE,MINE but a customers firearm that had cycling issues and this was an opportune time to test it. Needless to say it is running well now. It is the same one that BigBear and his Mrs. are blasting in the vid.(It was afterall his Birthday)
To the OP-
It is loud, concussive and obnoxious.
Somebody Sunday said it blew "Pumpkins" as a muzzle blast.
Perfect[UZI]
It would carry well with a 20 rounder and a single shoulder loop I think.

I have one in .223, flattop, 10" barrel with the short Gunsmoke buffer setup. I'm supposed to get a 9mm upper for it at the end of the month. Not sure if that's going to happen or not.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I was on MGT's site and he has complete RRA pistol lowers available. I'm just kinda looking into this to see what costs would be.I want to stay with 5.56 simply because I have plenty of Pmags and ammo and don't want to add another caliber like 9mm to the mix.
Probably won't happen at this time due to funds but it's fun thinking about it. [Beer]
As an AR pistol, do you have to have that stupid buffer tubd thingy on it? I think it's look great without the stock... and like a joke with the tube.....
I got to shoot BP's at the DM's shoot. It was fun! The wifey liked it too! lol.

To the best of my knowledge(which is questionable at times) the AR wouldn't function without the buffer [Beer]

You are correct StagLefty- without a buffer spring how is the BCG supposed to close and lock?
I know there is at least one manufacturer that builds a "bufferless" AR but I have no knowledge of how well it actually works. The recoil spring(s) are contained within the upper.
If your tight on cash there is always the "Draco" pistol.
Another handful of whoopass!

Watch this (select "Glass" or "Split" at the bottom and you can see why/how the buffer tube thingy works).

Oly does a pistol without a buffer tube ... but then you've got an Oly :p
Honestly I'm surprised that the AFT hasn't classified the buffer tube (especially with a foam microphone sock looking thing on it) as a "stock" and reclassified most AR pistols as SBRs.
There was a company called BOHICA (that disappeared before they actually got anywhere) that was making a pistol AR in .50 Beowulf ... I think this would be some serious shits and giggles.

That's why, when I built mine, I used the Gunsmoke Enterprises pistol buffer assembly. It's half the length of a normal buffer tube, so it doesn't get in the way like the standard ones do. I have the original version, so I can use a standard bolt carrier.

BOHICA is still around - or at least, there's a company by that name. But now all they make is a .50 BMG AR Upper.

I believe the 50 Beowulf pistol BOHICA (BOHICA Tool) isn't the same BOHICA (BOHICA Arms) that makes .50bmg uppers (its not like BOHICA isn't an obvious name for a gun company ... especially when one makes potential ban fodder :p ).

I know there used to be a Bohica that made AR's, to include lowers. I think they were local. I have a buddy who knew the owner, did some work for them. If I remember, they got shut down for some FFL violations.

Have you guys seen the RRA piston pistol? They also eliminated the need for a buffer tube.

Looked good until I got to the price. About $600 over what I've been looking at.
Thanks for the info though. Maybe someday [Beer]
