A real Christian thing to do. Should have given the guy a new set of underwear also.

The owner was smart. If he shot the perp it would have been raining lawyers. If the guy had still come at him after he went to such lengths it would have been a totally clean shoot. I think Masad Ayoob used to suggest having a billfold to drop if threatened. It would be a lot cheaper than hiring a lawyer and it would help show you'd done what you could to avoid trouble.

Whether or not the wannabe thief was doing it for the reason he said, what the store owner did speaks volumes for his character. Those are the sort of immigrants I like to see; the kind that make this country a better place.

(use fake reporter voice here) Wendy it appears that after waiving his rifle in the man's face, the gun toting store owner having terrified the poor suspect into begging for his life attempted to plant evidence of the robbery by forcing the now pleading man to take money from the register.

use fake female reporters voice here) Bob it appear that the store owner used an assault rifle, is that true?

(over dramatize this) Wendy, it was I believe at least assault rifle caliber, wouldn't you like to see the Brady Bill just go a little further to ensure these types of weapons aren't used in the manner we see here.
