This criminal was licensed as a general practitioner but had no training in OB/GYN, and his wife -- who had no medical training at all -- was also performing these "procedures." 8 other "nurses" had no medical training either. Was reusing disposable instruments without sterilization, letting cats piss all over everything, and kept a bizarre collection of body parts in jars. Dozens of "patients" suffered perforated bowels and several (that we know about) died.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear they'd been performing these procedures with clotheshangers and bleach. DA estimated they were seeing 10 patients a day. That is just insane.

You are right, too much focus on the Dr. A person doesn't just get away with something like this for thirty years, without some "unaffiliated" party/parties, not turning a blind eye. There are plenty of folks at the local and state level involved with a Physicians private practice.
